Can you do this with the HX Edit software as well? I downloaded a patch and was wanting to customize the amp gain levels per snapshot. I edited the first snapshot, then hit save, and the rest of the snapshots matched the amp gain level of the first snapshot.

I want snapshot 2 to have a different amp than snapshot one. Helix doesnt allow me to do this. I then tried Changing the gain lower since I couldnt cahnge the amp Helix would default to the new gain setting and apply it to the first snap shot. I am not likeing Helix.

Learn how to use it. Watch lots of videos. You need to free up dsp by adding more paths.

If you want a different amp for snapshot 2 why not just make 2 different presets with 2 different amps. This snapshot mode seems like a waste of time to me. If you want 3 different sounds just make 3 different presets.

So snapshots are simply changing presets with no audio gap and spillover is allowed? ..so why not just make that available by changing presets? It's 2023 we can't do that yet?

Snapshots are turning off a combination of buttons that are already programmed in the patch. Very different thing to be able to recall a whole new preset while maintaining the sound of the previous.

@bmitchellmusic No it's not...just labeled as such. Let's say you have a marshall amp with delay and reverb and a cab. Snapshot...you press a button now the cab is off and a different cab is now on that was already in the chain but turned off previously...the delay is now off and the reverb is a different reverb that was in the chain but off previously. Why in the world can't you just put that as a different channel or preset and there would be no gap? Why? It's called labeling and it's a selling mechanism...simply because almost all modeling amps has quit marketing the best sound as their selling point. It's all in the ears of the beholder ....so they need to market something that's measurable, not opinional.

I completely agree. I don’t get that snapshot mode, it seems completely irrelevant. If you want a clean, crunch and lead sound then just make 3 presets, one for clean one for crunch and a lead tone and use preset mode so 1A is clean 1B is crunch and 1C is lead. To me the snapshot mode is a gimmick as you can do the same in preset mode.

@@dansmith543 that’s why snapshots exist - so you can do that and not have the drop out or latency of switching. It changed within the preset you are already in.

Guys! Your product Helix LT with 3.15 firmware sounds greate! Realy cool and I do like it. But guys, I, as a lot of other users, have very sad problem with bugs, when I use snapshots. I asign some parameters to snapshots and it results in a error (attention "the helix device filed to recall snapshot data") and totaly presets craches. Parameters with snapshot-control not changed. When I swich snapshot, effects switch only, not parameters with snapshot controls. And LED not swich too. I had line6 POD Go earlier and it work very good! Unforunatly Helix LT sads me. Please, fix it!

How can I copy the snapshot to other footswitch?

After I selected 8 snapshots, my board doesn’t change to the snaps, my first two on the left top and bottom have preset and the up and down arrow, then the other 8 are all blank. Help

if you have an LT not a full floor you wont see the other 2 as the Full Helix can show 10 snapshots and the LT only 8. I have the LT

in case youre still wondering i found out, you have to PRESS and turn the knobs for the white brackets to appear and the settings will then be saved to the snapshot.
