Line 6 | Helix Minute: Understanding & Loading an Impulse Response (IR)

Ok the best results I got was using a single amp with 3rd party dual IRs. I'm running the friedman amp sim into professional IRs by Ownhammer. 1st cab is an OH friedman V30 (57 mic fredman position) and an OH friedman V30 (121 edge mic cap) this second cab is at -9.2dB and it just slays. Of course I used my DAW and searched for the crappy frequencies which i then cut in the helix parametric eq section (im running like 3-4 EQ blocks with great results) I cut 3.5khz, 4khz and 5 khz with something like minus 6dB depending on where i like it just to get rid of the beehive shrill sound. Plus a mild wide cut at 400hz based on ownhammer's instructons and I also use a low cut at 100hz and hicut at 12khz. IT sounds F-in brutal, full and natural. To a point where I sold all my real cabs, amps, fx and I'm pretty much done swapping gear for at least a couple years. :) The last amp i had was a fryette deliverance 60 boosted with a maxon od9 into an orange cab. before that i had boogies mk4,5...peavey 5150.6505+, evh 5150III, some experience with bogner twin jets, diezels and hybrid amt/marshall situations. All gone now, replaced by the helix. Each time we play live now, the sound guy says - i did not have to do anything to the sound, just pull you up, you've got the same great sound each time now, no mics, no cabling nothing.

Can you choose different mics for an IR? Or is it just the one it was recorded with? Confused on how you play with IR's and mics at the same time. I am not seeing a mic selection on the IR settings.

Morning...Can you tell me something, can I use impulse response on this pedal? What position in the signal string when I put the IR? And when I use IR can I connect in front of the amp itself? Or only in Send return? Please...In LINE 6 HX?

Hey! Can I load impulse response at the very end of the signal chain? After all effects and amplification? Where in your signal chain IR's lay?

I loaded impulrses reponses in the helix software however when i go to use them on teh pedal they do not show up?????

With all the latest developments on Helix , I wish they could do to increase the number of IR slots altleast using USB drive. 128 is too less.
