How good is the bypass? I have heard it is horrible for tone suck. I am not too worried because I use an input and output buffer and a JHS Clover near the start of my pedal chain. Just wondering how much more worth it is to just go for the Boss MD 200 instead nowadays.

The MD 200 is like twice a much almost- and doesn't do distortion, fuzz, delay, or reverb. It does chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, vibrato, slicer, and univibe. Not really a valid comparison imo.

If the M5 did like at least two effects at once- really it should be 3 imo- I would snag one. But I'm not sure about one effect at a time- seems odd for a floor modeler.
