Just got a POD Go and of course I'm clueless and scrambling to find some videos to help get me up to speed. I saw your other one (the getting started video) which was very helpful and quite different in approach. Most videos I've seen so far focus on the pedalboard itself. But you demonstrated the software on your computer and started tweaking delays and EQs. That really shows how this thing shines. The customizable tones are fantastic. Anyway, I landed on this one. The VH tones are spot on. And Pound Cake? That totally blew me away. I've never heard anyone replicate that sound. Great job!

Okay first of all, wow. I just bought this thing to make my gigging life easier but it has been information overload all day. So I have a question: my Charvel has a split coil feature that I'm very fond of, but I'm having a very hard time even getting much difference between the humbucker and single coil settings... I mainly get nothing more than volume dropout and 60 cycle hum. So.... do these presets play well with single coils and sensitivity to rolling off the gain with the volume knob? Love your tones and I hope to hear back from you!

Hey there! Thank you for your purchase. What you need to do, is go back to the Line 6 website. Make sure you are logged in with the account that you purchased from (some people have more than 1 login account). Once logged in, click on the little "person" looking avatar at the top right of the Line 6 website. Scroll down to Hardware & Software > Marketplace Downloads. Once in there you will see the item you purchased. You can physically download it from there. Then, you can double click the zip file and extract it. Open PodGo Edit Software (make sure you are logged in with your Line 6 account from within PodGo edit) and then import the presets. That should get you all set. Sounds complicated but it's not. To be honest it takes only 30 seconds or less. Thank you again for your purchase!

Whats a snapshot? I have a podgo and never understood what snapshots are about

Snapshots are used on Helix, HX Effects, HX Stomp and of course Pod Go. They are used to prevent latency that happens when you switch presets. Ex, Let's say you are on a nice clean preset, then you want to switch to another preset (dirty for example). Jumping between a preset on any digital device can give you a very slight pause with no sound. can be annoying. So, a Snapshot fixes that problem, as you never "leave" your preset. Think of it like going to your amp, and taking a "picture" of the clean, rhythm & lead channel knobs. So, in a snapshot that you create within a preset, you make find adjustments. Ex. Snapshot one, you have a clean amp and distortion pedal, but the distortion pedal is turned off. You go to Snapshot 2, turn on the distortion. You save all these changes as you go. Then you could go to snapshot 3 and add more distortion and channel volume etc. So in the end, you stay within this preset and just toggle back and forth the settings you want. I hope this makes sense.

Sounds good, but why do presets always have to revolve around VH? There is a lot of guitar music out there, I think a starter kit maybe should be more middle of the road to build. Again, sounds good, just not my cup of tea.

Presets do NOT always have to revolve around VH. I have 4 VH presets in this bundle out of 10. The other 6 are killer. You could delete the 4 Van Halen ones if you wish, and still have 6 other presets that sound very good.

Oh, I would not delete them, they sound great. My point is modelers and IRs are approximated duplicates of amps and cabs not individuals. At the point when a person purchased a Marshall during the 70s/80s they then had to build their sound even if similar to others, EVH is a prime example. Modeling then again always seems to be pursuing the cloning of players not amps. I understand it is a marketing tool and it attracts many players. I think the Strymon Iridium is moving toward the path of essential tones to develop one’s sound. Once more, your presets are incredible, I was not knocking them. Be Well

You can do amazing things with the built in cabs if you know how to use the effects and EQ Watch all of Jason Sadites videos even the ones for the Helix as ALL the principles apply to even the PodGo (although it has different things and limitations its still an effects processor/modeler)

Your Diff Truth 2 doesn't work at all on my set up. Haven't tried the cleans yet but every other rock tone works fine (doesn't quite sound like this video tbh they all sound very very trebly not sure why) I'm running the pod into a QSC cp8 and that diff truth 2 is dead. No signal. I downloaded the drivers, and rebooted the comp. Any ideas?

Thank you kindly for your purchase, it is greatly appreciated. I will investigate for you, as many of these have been sold and this is the only report I have received of that preset having no output. There is no need for drivers or even a need to be hooked up to a computer if you are running direct to the QSC monitor. Your QSC may be a bit bright, so maybe just adjust the highs on the preset to your liking. Here at home on several Powercabs and my reference monitors they sound just like the video. I'm in the process of moving studios so gear is not fully setup yet. But will report back if I encounter a problem with that particular preset. Stay tuned and thank you once again.

@@musicgearnetwork Okay I got it to work finally, get this tho.... I have to activate or actually touch the volume knob and the sound immediately engages. It starts at zero volume and no signal... footswitching does nothing more than engage the snapshots or effects... but touching the volume footpedal is the only thing I have been able to find that engages the actual sound, which by the way is INCREDIBLE. I love it so much. it's very fun to jam on, and I'm sure recording with it is a blast, but unfortunately for my gigging purposes it's a tad too unreliable for me to have it as a stage sound, so I'm going to do my best to sort of emulate a similar set up in a new preset once I start to get the hang of it. How do i use this as a preamp? I don’t want to use the pre amp of my amp i want to use its power just to amplify it. You keep saying to use the preamp of the amp so I’m confused. Basically This is what I want. I want to use this pedal for all my sound. I have a boss katana amp. I don’t want to use any of the presets or anything, just the power of the amp to produce the sound - which happens to be wired out into a vintage Marshall Cabinet. I don’t want things to be double EQ and I don’t want to use any sound from my amp. Just the power . If this isn’t the best way then what is? Also i have a 1990s blues deluxe. It has no effects loop but it has a power amp in . Any way to use the pedal in the same scenario as described above so I’m just using the amps power only not the preamp section or any of the channels?

Only way to do this, is to run the main out of PodGo (left mono) to the power amp in of the amp. Now, keep in mind, you are basically now on Full Blast volume. Your volume pedal or knob on PodGo will have to be used carefully. But this will allow you to use the PodGo and your amps power amp section only.

i just got my Pod Go and im having a hard time trying load it on the PC. no downloads want to install. Im interested in your starter kit but how will i be able to download your sounds into it? ive plugged the usb in the laptop and nothing is happening

Happy to try and assist, just to get an idea, did you download the drivers first? (At the Line 6 website go to downloads, choose PodGo, then your OS, Windows 10 etc) and the 1st option will be the drivers. Have you done that step? Usually during the install it will prompt you somewhere to acknowledge the drivers install. Do yo also have PodGo Edit installed? If it still isn't being detected, uninstall all the PodGo related software, reboot your PC and then repeat this process. If needed temporarily disable any antivirus software as sometimes they can block driver installs. Keep me posted, I hope you get it working!

I have a Pod go and just purchased the regular Powercab 112. I play at home so mostly lower bedroom volumes. Any suggestions on setting the channel or master volume in the presets themselves. I don't believe I'm getting the best sounds as some presets seem louder than others. Any help is appreciated. I bought the starter kit and wondering the interplay of the volume settings? The pod go has the main volume knob, the Powercab has a volume knob and then you have a number of volume settings in the presets themselves. Just looking for my best tone at lower volume as I am a only at home player.

Thank you so much for your purchase of our presets! And congrats on the PodGo and Powercab presets as well! Our presets are all volume matched very close, however you will see some jumps a tiny bit in clean presets vs dirty (somewhat). For quiet home playing I would recommend settings the Power cabs volume anywhere from about 8 to 10 o'clock, and put your PodGo on full. Use your Podgo's volume pedal from there to suit to taste, however I always have my PodGo volume pedal full as well too. Keep me posted and thank you again!

“Starter kit” ?? for learning Van Halen . The sounds are nice but this isn’t really a preset starter kit for the Pod Go. It is literally for playing Van Halen. Killed the Van Halen though.
