This was my first amp. I used it for 5 years and it's great for what it is. I gave it to goodwill when I upgraded and I hope whoever got it has as much fun with it as I did.

Got mine today at GW for $75... I plug it in to the outlet and it smells like heating wire and it sounds choppy... I wonder if someone tried to modify it and failed.

Thanks for posting that. I bought this amp used yesterday and I had no clue about these features. Very helpful video.

They are mentioned in the manual. Maybe there’s a pdf version on the line 6 website.

Cool. I knew about the hidden features and had been trying a few, but didn’t know about the sustain effect on the drive boost with insane. Thanks.

so you mean tap + drive = drive boost on/off , and I can tell you that it is actually the feature of POD 2.0 . I mean that big red kidney one. The manual tells me there are some "hidden" features , only "hidden" from the metal cover case of the POD , but not "hidden" in the manual . So you guys may try other hidden features in POD 2.0 to see if they also work on Line spider amp . may be work because they use very similar IC chips . Go download the manual of POD 2.0 . And now I also post what I know here: for POD 2.0: tap + drive = drive boost on/off tap + chan vol = volume boost on/off tap + reble = presence on/off tap + middle = delay level tap + bass = number of delay repeats tap + reverb = reverb decay time tap + effect tweak (only found on POD) = effect speed I own a POD 2.0 but not a spider amp , so I am not sure which of above works. I really like Line 6 products. Hope can help. Enjoy!

I got both but just got the amp to go with the pedals I bought for my POD 2.0 but they weren't compatible so I surfed marketplace and traded a Dean Markley K50 and a Harmony H802 beginner's guitar for it straight up. I had to drive 165 miles round trip. I'm having problems figuring out all of those features on my amp. I knew about the tap button on the POD it don't seem to work the same on the amp. I do believe I like my magic bean a whole lot better. But I'm ba headphone player anyhow.

jim lennon no they’re great for practicing. Just annoying AF if you want to get a smooth lead tone. If you want a smooth lead tone, get the 75 watt version or higher wattages

By doing these steps, are you modifying the channel preset so if you use the Line 6 footswitch you can have your sounds that you saved???? or is this a temporary modification to the channel? I knew you could modify each channel, by moving the gain, bass, middle and treble dials.
@ycsham067 жыл бұрын
not temporary . you need to cancel it by yourself . but it is not hard to do so
