Hello. Thanks for your videos. Great for beginners like myself. I’m fighting with myself on whether to use a ruler or not. Your style is working for you as lines are very straight. Freehand is much faster. I think I’ll just practise line drawing Do you have any thoughts or tips on how to get good proportions? Mine are not very good. Thanks. BE SAFE.

Hello! Thanks so much. I think whether you want to use a ruler or freehand lines depends on what style you're aiming for, if you want precision I don't seen any problem in using tools to help you get that look. For proportions, I mentally divide my image into halves and quarters and then see where the features of the drawing would sit relative to my imaginary lines - maybe that's a topic for a future video!
