Line and Wash | Painting an Edinburgh Street

A fine liner pen and watercolour sketch of Circus Lane, Stockbridge, Edinburgh. This street sketch was drawn with a Uni-Pin Fine Liner Pen in 0.2 on A6 watercolour paper and coloured with Windsor and Newton Professional Watercolours.

Hi Lou, thanks so very much for another upload. This one's absolutely lovely. It's almost 'story like'. Please please please make these a series. Will look forward for each one of them. Am a beginner in urban sketching and learning perspective. You're tutorials are making it very easy for me to give it a go every time I see a house or a cottage. I was trying to attempt a thatched cottage but failed to do so. Hopefully I shall improve with the help of your instructions. Love the pen and ink. It's my favourite style of sketching pretty much anything and everything. Beautiful art as always. Cheers!

It’s in Stockbridge, it’s called Circus Lane. It’s used a lot for filming - it was in good omens recently. If you come on a Sunday there’s a really good market nearby and Stockbridge itself is good for a stroll around and has some nice cafes and shops. Enjoy your trip!
