Reason 6: You get Helix Native with a huge discount if you buy the HX stomp hardware. That's all the effects of HX stomp as a VST inside your DAW, and only limited by the computational power of your computer instead of the DSP of the stomp (and limited to 8 blocks). Patches are transferable between Helix Native and HX stomp!

I'm considering obtaining an HX STOMP for processing my 2600 GRAY MEANIE.

It seems like a perfect match!

Yeah, agreed. I just made a master chain for processing my pocket operators for compression, stereo imaging and lofi texture. I'm actually surprised how few of the Dawless community has mentioned it. #HxStomp #Dawless #MPC_One #MC101
@MusicianParadise3 жыл бұрын
Yes, dawless community can greatly benefit from Helix! I think most of people just look at Helix as a guitar/bass orientated product line.

I always enjoy running audio from 1 instrument into something else it's not typically intended for. Keyboards into guitar amps, synths through guitar pedals, MPC Live 2 through Helix, etc... I wish there was a way to have Helix send all your guitar playing note for note/chord for chord via Midi to MPC. Then your midi playing would show up on MPC grid for you to change the sound or edit.
@MusicianParadise Жыл бұрын
Well said! With all the Helix processing power I think it's possible to build a polyphonic audio to MIDI converter, maybe at the expense of quantity of the available stomp models in a preset. Also, omitting the MIDI capabilities on Variax guitar lineup seems very strange to me - Variax electronics has everything for HQ polyphonic audio to MIDI conversion (individual pickups for each string etc.) After Yamaha took over the L6 I thought it going to be the next logical step but...no luck here!

Thanks for this video and download! I was wondering, have you used the Helix as audio interface with the MPC? I have the Live and love your videos and just saw this while looking for a multi fx to use with my live.
@MusicianParadise2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no, Helix operate at sample rate 48Kz and MPC at 44.1 and there is no way to change that. Hopefully some future update will fix that, it would be amazing to use Helix as an audio interface with the MPC!

@@MusicianParadise thank you for the reply! I totally forgot that fixed SR and had the same issue with my Voicelive 3. Yes, it seems like a really great match! We can hope and see what Akai ends up doing there. It would still work well over 1/4” with the two extra stereo pairs on the Live.

Thanks for another great video! Can you please let me know how many synths can be connected at the same time? I’m looking for an effect pedal, that is is to carry on trips and I can connect at lease 3 devices simultaneously, battery and or USB powered would be great!!! I’m wondering if the L6 HX or the Ampero 2 are good options for my goals. I can record on a bluebox or iPad
@MusicianParadise2 жыл бұрын
I guess you can connect 2 stereo synth (or 4 mono) using L6 Helix stomp using Stereo IN and stereo Return. Can't tell much about Ampero 2 - never had an opportunity to check it out. Hope this helps!
