I'm using my own custom IR's for this demo. I wanted to try out the pitch effects, especially, and see how far I can push one preset, which is what you heard now! One preset, four snapshots, turning on and off some pedals. Sounds awesome to me!

I'm honestly stuck between Boss and Helix. If I could get certain type of sounds that I hear from Boss GX 100 and the Boss GT 1000 on the Helix. I'd choose Helix. Because I also like the sounds you'd get from the Helix. But also like the sounds you get from the Boss GX 100 and the Boss GT 1000.

I'm not entirely sure what kind of sounds you can get from one but not the other - are we talking about certain effects or just a basic tone in general? Because if it's the latter, there is no way you couldn't get that down, as long as the Boss units also use IRs. If you can get an IR into the unit, chances are you can get pretty much the same tones.

@@mammothaudioengineering There are certain sounds/tones that I like from the gx-100 and the gt-1000. I already have a list. And they both have IR's.

Sounds great. How would you compare it to the axe fx2?

Thank you! I think at this point, it probably sounds better than the AXE FX II, but I also doubt anyone in a live audience would know or care. That being said, pricing, ease of use, flexibility, processing power and all that are in favour of the Helix, but it is also came out quite a few years after the Axe2, and it's still getting frequent updates. So yeah, all around, a win for me, since the switch thingy for my axe fx gave out and this is a one stop shop for upcoming shows for me. Fits in a backpack and I can bring a guitar or two, and I am set!
