Racks are definitely clearer and more 3D. The HX is flatter but still close enough for R&R.

As you said, close enough. And,... in a live mix... no one can decern between the two. Not even the most hard core cork sniffer. Factor in the cost, set up, transport, maintenance.... is it worth it? In the studio, I would let the guitar player monitor his rack rig if he insisted, but besides the exception like Gilmour or the Edge.... even if it is primo rack gear, I would record a straight mic, or even a DI for re-amping. That rack stuff is great for nostalgia, but we all need to ask are we in the business of making music or something else.

So i brought your pack as the rack presets sound amazing but unfortunately its not compatible with the HX Stomp even with the latest firmware update. Is it possible to get a text document emailed to me with the parameters so i can just manually input them? They sound SO good!!! (You can verify i did pay via my email)

When did you buy it? In the folder now if you buy it is a version for the Stomp too. Send me an e-post at [e-mail] and I’ll send it to you. It’s possible to convert the HX FX to stomp via HX Native too. Regards Kjetil

Yes.. you just use the Editor to import it into your unit.

do you need the pcm 80 card to have additional algorythm ? what's the card for ? you re using an IR with reactive load or cab here ? thks

The PCM-80 can do Circular and Pan Delays without the card. In this video I used Suhr RL with the Two Note CAB M+.

@@soundsokok well the fun thing is that when I made blind test people thought the HX FX was the H90 and the PCM-80. The only unit they could tell was the real thing was the TERC. I have the cab ready to go in my cab room, but I find the CAB M+ with the Suhr RL sounds almost the same. And my wife like it better too coz the cab will bleed thru to the living room slightly😎😎😎😂😂

Close enough that no one in a live setting would tell the difference - and let's see you carry the rack in to the gig in a backpack. Cartage is a real thing.
