Proof u+(-u) shoud illustrate as (u1, u2, ....un) + -1(u1, u2, ..., un)

A lot of the properties are inherited from real numbers, I would just insert the scalar in each of the entries of the vector, and then do the mulitplication of 1*a_1, 1*a_2 and so on, and then I would arrive at vector a from 1 * vector a.
