I guess you are built different too 🤓

Damn that sounds good. My fav switch so far is Akko purples. I'm more of a tactile guy myself, the linears feel without 'character' to me. Been looking to try something else because I'm always curious if there's something else out there. Will give these a go see how they feel.

Have you tried Gateron Kangaroo switches? I have not, but the springs are compounded in the centre I believe (a few other switches use these type also). I can't formulate mathematical equations like yourself, but - equal force down to the bump, equal force back up to the bump. These type of springs likely have a common, proper name I'm oblivious to : / I'm going to order some soon and see how they compare to my Trash Pandas.
@benfromsg8 ай бұрын
Hmm well if it's equal force down and up, it's likely just a single stage linear spring. Dual stage or triple stage springs sometimes have heavier ending points or starting points.

My old man hands can't handle typing on 'heavier' switches for long periods without my hands aching now a days, it's both a good and a bad thing there are so many options now a days, the problem is finding a nice light tactile I like that is also available. Wish I had seen this video a few months ago, I'd have given these a try.

I feel you. I used to think typing on holy pandas are fine, until I used it for work for 8 hours… never going back there again.

@@benfromsg I checked and these switches are still available, I'll probably pick some up to try in my next kb. Wouldn't have heard of these if not for this video so thanks!

Do you have a link to purchase the Bsun Hutt switches?
@benfromsg7 ай бұрын
The gb for it has ran and I doubt there are many out there. Perhaps in the secondhand market? But I also googled and saw that unikeyboards have some in stock right now. However, I have no clue about their reputation so I would recommend that you do your research on them as a vendor first before committing to a purchase. Hope you find them!

Seems like Ajazz Banans already have delivered such experience. Light long spring, short travel, long pole…

True, but the material of the housing may differ slightly and probably have different acoustics. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to get my hands on them, take them apart and analyze. So I can't confidently comment on the similarities and differences. I'm purely going off on the limited info I can find online!

How would you describe the tactile bump on these? Early bump, P or D shaped? How pronounced it is?
@benfromsg8 ай бұрын
It’s not very pronounced at all and the bump is in the middle of the actuation

i dont know why but these remind me of baby kangaroos sooo much... the sound profile and everything that you described screams it.... i actually heard good reviews on them and decided to go with the baby racoons instead because we both share the feeling about tactiles ... i kinda wish i just tried them first because the tactile feeling that you get with the kangaroos is very satisfying and just different to be honest... you just made my mind up about these though and i will def be ordering a pair when i get the chance. thanks for the review and you time man!
@benfromsg Жыл бұрын
Never too late to go that way! Not sure how kangaroos feel like though, only know that they have slightly lighter springs. Double stage springs… haven’t really studied them yet (I’ll get to it in future I’m sure) but I’m positive they are mid-thocky given the PC/nylon combi
