Honestly the best player I knew used exponential ramp. It's great for accurate flicking but distgustingly bad for tracking and very unstable with high sense.

I’m gm1 and I use Epotential ramp as it works really well for me on tracer as it’s slow beginning for finding the target and as they react it gets faster to finish the elemination as they start to defencivly strafe

I’m not even gonna lie my Ashe and widow settings are still the same but I just swapped to linear imma need to mess around with it a bit more but that for now is alright

Linear doesn’t feel right in overwatch compared to other games, it’s way off. I don’t get why iv tweaked the settings several times for many different heroes and it just feels awful. I feel like I’m forced to use dual zone.

I'm Gm5 and i use linear as well. been using it since Fortnite days in 2019. I like using linear on all my shooters even on apex, cod and fort. That way the response curve is similiar between all games so my aim translates well throughout all the games

Linear is basically just fast overall, you feel you have more control bc when you go to turn you dont have to hope that you wont hit that outer zone with dual zone. Tracking can be harder but thats more so about your settings and sense that impack tracking. You can accurately gauge the distance you need to turn alot easier. But with dual zone tracking can be simple but doing flicks can be frustratingly slow. And if an enemy goes far enough to the side of you then when you try to turn to aim at them you have a chance of hitting that outer zone and flying past them or not grttung close enough and them still be out of your crosshair. Exponential however i havent spent alot of time with but from the couple minutes i tested it it seemed very stiff. Maybe theres a combination of aim smoothing and aim ease in that can help it bridge the cap between linear and dual zone to become the best aim technique but with how little ive spent with it i cant quite say but i will be testing it out today after the season 9 patch so if you want to know just reply so i dont forget and ill get back to you when i can

For expo aim ease in has to be 0. Smoothing I've gone as low as 1 with a 50 window size and 50 AA ease in on s 76 for instance. I'm currently debating on going linear

For long range hero’s like Zen I really like Dual Zone when using a controller on console. Allows me to make small movements easily but also whip around if someone is in my face. Any hero who fights in mid to close range I always rock Linear.

It depends on what heroes in my opinion like for an example I think widow or genji can benefit from having linear but other heroes like hanzo or tracer don’t need it any hero that can benefit from flicking could use linear but other than that I don’t think it’s worth it

Just play on what’s comfortable to you, I used to be a t500 Overwatch 1 player peaking at 4567 on Xbox I now moved to PC but honestly just go into a practice range and start at a baseline on whichever Linear or Dualzone start at like 50/50 then go up in 10/10 increments till something feels good then overtime if it starts feeling to slow just raise it ideally in my opinion overwatch is a MOBA FPS so you actually benefit from playing on a higher sensitivity relative to a slower because the game is fairly fast pace but it’s all personal preference just find something you like (Edit) I forgot about aim smoothing bc it’s been forever since I used it aim smoothing is good to you can slightly lower it at certain sensitivities you like but they feel a little slow that can help make the sens feel faster without jumping another 10/10 increments

Playing with high sensitivity would make sense on PC but not on controller. You're literally aiming with your thumb, it doesn't matter how good you are with a controller you'll still be limited by that.

create custom, go top right to settings, under summary go the the box with the down arrow and then input your desired code. let me know if it works

It’s very clunky. I can guarantee you can hit your skill ceiling in terms of aiming if you use dual or linear. Either way if you’re consistent then it doesn’t matter.
