Things are off to a great start with this new series and I like the title too! I hadn't realised that it wasn't just a straight swap from trains to trams but instead there were new tram stops, disused stations and changes to platforms. This video is really interesting and enjoyable so thanks for making it!

You need to make a playlist on your channel for "lines taken over lightly", and then add the Tyne & Wear Metro to it.

Whitefield also has at least some of its old buildings from its mainline rail days. You can't see it from the platforms, but that bridge over the tracks contains what is clearly a boarded-up ticket office at street level.

A great theme Simon, it's a kind of "Modern Archaeology" I suppose and great that the "younger generation" (if I can call you that) are taking such an interest in it and documenting it so beautifully. Most captivating!

Thank you Martin, love the kind words but just thought it be a great idea to try and the feedback been brilliant but it was KZbin itself which inspired me to make this video and series. I'm also in my mid 30s as well

@@Sim0nTrains ... the same age as our two boys, so I was right! (lol!) I'm not all that familiar with the Manchester area as I used to try to avoid it for "road traffic reasons" when travelling about the country with my work, though I put a short clip of a Metrolink on my channel at Newhey (I was working in the Saddleworth area at the time) and looking at that it was obvious that it used to be a "heavy rail" line before Metrolink days, and that piqued my interest anyway. Now that I have hung up my tools and retired, and now have a Senior Railcard (!) maybe it's time to go and have a poke about, inspired by your efforts. It's a fairly short and easy to ride to that area from here in Cumbria. I look forward to seeing how your series pans out, and your other stuff of course. Well done!

Woodlands road was closed as it was seeing a decreaced number of pasengers and becoming unsafe and expensive to maintain. Abraham moss was opened as it was directly adjacent to the local abraham moss community school wich they thought would see an increace in pasenger numbers and revenue. wich indeed turned out to be the case.

If you want Constructive criticism you Old into is a Massive Turn off and Cringe your Style off videos needs to change better Graphical Maps and better Clearer microphone so people can hear what your saying instead of mumbling improve your Visuals and audio no one is going to watch a half-hour long or Hour-long videos make your videos 7-10mins long KZbin thumbnails are fine oh get a better phone so people can see you better & Hear if you don't put money back in the channel your not going to grow

Thanks for the Constructive criticism RockEagle117 and honestly totally agree with what you said about intros and 100% right intros are a massive turn off and you can noticed the dip in the retention which is why I don't do intros anymore and intros are on their way out anyway some of the things maps I have included a better phone, only upgraded my phone last month but most of my footage is filmed on my camcorder but what was said, I do agree, looking back at my old videos I do cringe at the myself, thank you for the advice, it appreciated.

@@Sim0nTrains You can get away with less than amazing video quality, but audio quality is where it's at. Getting the levels consistent and not drowning out the important audio like voice over with music etc is the real trick. It's an art unto itself! Keep it up though, you'll get better, it's all practice! The content is great, just needs that little extra polish on the presentation.
