I assume the difference between a checkered block and a half-and-half block is, that the former applies two concepts to the whole word, while the latter applies one change to the first part and the other change to the last part. Sunrise Star (×pink=?) + fall (×black=opposite) = Sun+rise So Star×(pink)=Sun

Yay, you found the cryptography rooms! "I don't know how I was supposed to get that without brute forcing some stuff" -- hey, brute force can be a valid cryptological exercise for determining a cipher. You might even need it again. And now you know that orange blocks don't always have to be the "wanderlust" cipher :)
@TheAstyanii4 ай бұрын
Assuming it's themed with the other words, I suspect profraction would be contraction, and its opposite would be expansion. Assuming "clouds" is actually the verb meaning "to obscure," one possible answer would be "shows." Pink looks like it's a specific part of a word. Star -> Sun is technically not the opposite since the sun is a star. The quartz puzzles are probably specific types of quartz.

ya definitely a helpful rule of thumb is that the word generally keeps the same shape. so a plural of something would still also end as a plural. description still stays a description, an object still stays an object etc

He's using "homophone" as a reminder that the parts he should play with should carry the same sounds but not necessarily the same letters. The problem with this is that it significantly limits his understanding of how to do harder clues, and especially where multiple things are going on. That's not to say that he still hasn't fully let go of the spelling while thinking about these clues, prefering to play with letters over phonemes. That is the truly limiting part of his thinking about top clues.

For what I understood: blocks down are connected to the object the word refers to Blocks in the middle refers to the written word Blocks in the top refers to the sound of the word While color are: White = the same as the (object, word, sound) Blue= the (object, word, sound) is a part of Red= is part of the (object, word, sound) Purple = is like/similiar to the (object, word, sound) Black = is the opposite (object, word, sound) Green = is hidden in the (object, word, sound) For brown is something connected to what makes what/ getting older For Cyan it seems to be the opposite of the answer of another block For magenta it seems to be connected to general/specific (the sun is a star, but was with black in that instance) For Orange is connected with conversion between numbers and letters Double colored blocks have an effect based on both color combined, while big block seems to be half per color (based on starfall/sunrise purple-black, as the sun is a type of star (purple) and the opposite of fall is rise, but I’m still not sure). Based on this last comment protraction should be condivision, as the opposite of pro- in con- and fraction are division
@nuggetoftruth8654 ай бұрын
Profraction wouldn’t be condivision under your rules, that would be applying black to both sides. While pro is black and would become con, fraction is purple and therefore would be replacement. A good fit for this is fraction -> traction, so the full word would be contraction. This also allows the light green/teal clue in the daytime room to be “expansion”, which is the opposite.
@Pride_il_superbo4 ай бұрын
@@nuggetoftruth865 it's also possible, but I was thinking about purple bottom: the best example I have is fork-spoon, so I think it's something like similar object / object that share a characteristic. Fraction-traction would work if that was purple top (obviously then there would be a problem with pro)
@JustAnotherCommenter4 ай бұрын
@@Pride_il_superbo The big panel is black middle + purple middle. There's no problem with the "pro" part, as it is separate from the "fraction" part. It would help if there were glass indicators at the back of big panels to indicate which particular height rule is applied to every color rule, but that will appear later on.
