Awesome ! Spot on comparison between Pimsleur and LingQ😊. For me it's definitely gotta be Pimsleur ! So easy to navigate and soooo affordable . Love learning new languages..Would love to learn French and Spanish as it's the second most commonly spoken languages in the city where I live 😊.

Really enjoyed the video. Taking everything you said into consideration I say DO BOTH For about $40 a month (less than an average night out) you get the best of both worlds, structured lesson plans, pronunciation aids, reading drills, and flashcards from Pimsleur, and then an enjoyable immersive experience with Lingq (and you just can't beat immersion). I definitely agree on Pimsleur first then Lingq because immersion can be makeshift much easier than structured lessons

i don't necessarily love lingq but i have no idea how pimsleur gets so much praise. i admittedly only tried the first lesson, but it was a 30 minute slogfest in which i "learned" like 4 or 5 new words. they broke down senorita into 4 syllables and then said the work 5 times asking you to repeat after every syllable and then word. not only was this mind numbing, but it would take like 20 times the lessons they have on offer to get any sort of vocabulary. maybe my opinion is skewed because i'm not a total beginner but i don't really see how you are ever going to learn anything with this system

How far does pimsleur take you? I’m thinking if it gets you through the foundation then it might be best to do pimsleur and then switch to linq when you finish but if it takes you into genuine fluency and maintenance of fluency then you just need it alone.
