For Example: "This video was very helpful" we can change the 'very helpful' to beneficial! So the sentence would be "This video was beneficial"
@Brain3204 жыл бұрын
Dunno, I would rather use "very helpful" in this case. Beneficial is more like useful but not quite helpful. The goal here is not to eliminate "very" entirely. You should use this technique only when other words represent your thoughts and feelings better.

I just have 2 points to make about the video... Distressed means anxious or stressed out. As an American I’ve never heard anyone use it to describe being tired. If you tell someone you’re distressed they will think you have a burdensome situation that you’re dealing instead of just simply being tired. The word distress is cause for concern. Also admirable is incorrect to use to describe a dog. I’ve never heard anyone ever use that when talking about a pet. It’s used for people whom you have respect and admiration for. Other than that, great video!

Some things I would like to point out: • Brilliant is typically associated with smart things, and not really used in place of good in many other cases Ex: That is a good/smart idea! That is a brilliant idea! • Don’t use splendid, no one ever uses it anymore, and people will more than likely make fun of you for using it • The words for cute have different connotations. Please don’t walk up on the street and call someone’s dog admirable or lovely. Admirable does not mean cute! Idk why she said that. Admirable is used typically when you admire or appreciate someone’s actions or morals. And lovely is rarely used, but when it is, it tends to be in more formal settings. Lovely doesn’t exactly mean cute either Ex: He was very admirable because he returned the money. Ex: Lovely weather we’re having. Ex: That’s a lovely dress. (If you’re talking to your partner you can say they look ravishing in that dress)
