I really love this video and what you did here. Instead of just giving out money to strangers you actually interacted with these kids and created a memory for both you and them to have for many years. Also I'm glad to see Nga again. She really stood out among the people you've featured in your old videos. She's got a really good heart and a decent amount of optimism that, hopefully, will help guide her through life. It would be so awesome to see her many years down the road. Linh kinda stole the show here. She's got a good energy and a great smile. I think you gifting them cleaning appointments with the dentist is one of the coolest ideas I've heard in a long time. Their smiles are really worth preserving. I finally found those lil girls after few days search; though didn't meet Linh("Ling" according to them). They are still around Ben Thanh area around 5pm. I bought same stuff as Troy Nguyen.... same discount price given after I told them Troy "sent me". They still remember Troy Nguyen and even corrected me when I pronounced his name wrong. Lol... Done my part, I can leave Saigon tomorrow with smiling heart. They know some Malaysia language. They are smart kids if directed right path. P/s: Troy, if you happens to see them again please help me pass a word "Study hard, have a bright future"

It's amazing. These kids are so happy with the lives they lead, at such a young age working like that yet a lot of us, (me included) live life taking things for granted. Many of my friends and me myself was one that detested school where as these children have to work all day during their holidays just to afford money to pay for school and books, watching this video makes me feel so sad for these kids, they deserve SO much more...

SKpivot Yeah, one of the things that really struck me the first time I went to Vietnam was how full of life the people were. I saw old grandmother-aged women carrying merchandise on their shoulders walking on the street barefoot. College age shoe shiners begging to shine the shoes of tourists. Small little kids selling lotto tickets and other knick knacks. For sure they were living on the absolute bare essentials and yet you can see on their faces that there was so much life in them still. Without sounding really melodramatic their spirit was still intact. They still found joy waking up in the morning. Life is still an adventure for them. I actually found myself slightly envious of them for that. Contrast that with people in countries who have plenty, and the attitudes are so different. People here get depressed and angry at the smallest things.

khong khing Great observation, money is not everything I guess. We have so much living in the U.S, the minute you're not getting what you want they it becomes a bad day...I love these kids' attitudes, they are absolutely adorable ! I would definitely donate to some kids when I go there one day.

Cute... inspiring... and heart-wrenching; these children work 6 hours a day in heat & humidity during summer vacation to try to raise money so they can have a chance to attend school. It's also easy to see they need more food & better nutrition. And yet, they're cheerful & optimistic. Been seriously considering visiting HCM City, and if I do it'll be in May or June so I can meet children such as these and give them some money & encouragement! Many thanks for this video. -Matt
