I just think it's funny how it went from Link can see through the Omnislash and kill Cloud midway through it to Cloud killing Fierce Diety Link with Omnislash.

Given that Cloud is much faster than Link, it doesn't really matter if he can see it. When scaled to a faster than light cosmic dragon, Link doesn't compare to Cloud's speed. And Cloud cleaving Bahamut Fury in two with one hit and tanking a supernova really puts his strength and defense stats way higher than Link also.

Nah... that was the Ragna Vs Ruby DBX imho. The animator even intended for Ragna to win until RT intervened. At least Yang Vs Tifa (despite me not agreeing with the outcome and the "research" within the episode even proving Tifa should've won) had some good moments, e.g: the VA work.

Yeah Noctis should show up. I'd also like to see Estinien from FFXIV. The problem with this is, they have to be requested or make sense to fight against someone. Lots of characters are liked, but are the matches *interesting*? I actually think inter-Final Fantasy fights would be interesting. Like Squall vs another protag. Kefka vs Sephiroth. A weapon vs SIN (or almost anything comparable to SIN, SIN is cool).

Lightning vs Shulk is one of my most wanted Death Battles actually. As for other characters, I can think of: Noctis vs Shirou (FAte/Stay Night), Squall vs Tatsuya (Persona 2), Yuna vs Sheena (Tales of Symphonia), maybe Riku (Kingdom Hearts) vs Cecil or Kain from FF4. Kefka could be cool too.

I appreciate this episode very much because with the Death Battle episode of Pokemon vs Digimon. And the debate/argument that I had ended up getting myself involved in it simply seemed like that you had completely missed that even if technically Pikachu is considered the weakest of all of the Pokemon there is still a drastic difference between Ash Ketchum's Pikachu and all of the rest of the Pikachu's due to Ash's and his Pikachu's close bonded relationship they are able to defy the odds and win in the end through not just their unpredictability of using unorthodox moves but also there repeated trial and error training and special training and constant rematching and learning from both victories and defeats method of Pokemon training. In the end I simply found myself gained upon by your other viewers. And I had decided that it wasn't worth the time and energy to debate and argue so I let it go.

Like… they won‘t give Link the Triforce which he had in multiple games, because it is not his „standard arsenal“. Yet they gave him obscure items that only appear in one game? They completely ignore each and every timetravel item or invincibility item. The mention Clouds summons only to not include them? This fight was badly researched. Not that I disagree on Cloud being physically stronger. I just think it would be a lot more even with some proper research.

I don't think you realize how badly they downplayed both of them. They called a comp link moon level when EVERY SINGLE final boss is planetary at least, malladus, OoT ganondorf are planetary, majora is large star level, vaati is galaxy level, zant, even if you say the universes are finite in size which they aren't, was stealing all the light from the light realm which is a galaxy level feat, Ganon being stated a threat to the universe demise being someone who is stronger than hylia who is stronger than the gods who created the LoZ multiverse where even 1 macrocosm contains at least 7 universes each. They called a comp cloud solar system level and the researchers said at best he's uni+ when he has a low multi feat from shinryu going to destroy 2 universes. like this fight was really shittily researched. Bruh, they didn't get this right at all.

I mean Cloud like everyone in FF7 will return to the life stream when he dies. Which is shown to be closer to a collective consciousness then death so you could say cloud fuses with the planet when he dies of old age.

I don't really think it counts, since our final party members aren't static, and Cloud is the default. For the intent of the story, it should canonically apply to him, everyone else is just speculation. The only one whod probably be close to Cloud in raw power, is Vincent, and his character is optional, so this is really a moot point. The remake will most likely clear this up in the next 6 years.

But think about this canonically, Advent Children showed that Cloud and Sephiroth were one on one in the beginning, even though his friends were there to support him. In addition, Cloud is supposed to be a better version of pre-lifestream sephiroth, and at the Game's max level, he far surpasses the soldier 1c sephiroth we see in nibielhiem. It makes sense Cloud's durability would be off the charts, since that version of sephiroth was calculated with a striking power of several Hiroshima bombs on this channel. Vincent also has chaos magic which puts him on level with certain members of soldiers.

They have different animators, so of course there will be different styles and quality. Plus, this was the final fight of this half of the season, and a rematch of one of their oldest fights, so it makes sense they put more resources into it than the normal fight.

Also, as for the beamos, it looks more like he was missing Link. I don’t think it was even aiming where Link was standing at first. While most say they nerfed Link (which is clearly not true since they used so many tools to their max like the 4 sword, mipha’s grace, and even fierce deity mask), they were really kind to Link if anything.

Nah, they rigged it so Cloud would win. He couldn't stand up to Link with less than half of his arsenal, yet suddenly, while he hasn't gained any abilities or power since the last fight, he's able to take on Link with a large chunk of his arsenal, fend off 4 links at once, and move too fast for FIERCE DEITY LINK to even TRY to parry the Omnislash? Let's face it, the fight was rigged from the start.

I don’t think the four sword multiplies everything in Link’s arsenal. A few things, yes. But not everything. (That’s why I’m the four swords games all the Link copies get exclusive access to items they come across) But yeah, Link definitely scales to Majora. Especially with the mask.

This was an amazing fight even if the character I liked lost. Good job. Also Coconut Fred vs Junko Enoshima So you maybe asking what the hell does Coconut Fred have in common with Junko Enoshima? The idea connecting these two is suffering and chaos, both have caused trouble to everyone around them wherever they go with their actions bringing about chaos. They also act as foils to one another too. * Fred is just the loony local who usually spends his days with the usual routine of doing something bad, people suffering, and then deciding to not do the bad thing. * Junko Enoshima has a despair fetish who intentionally plunged her world into despair because of how much she loves it. Intentionally causing chaos and suffering. * Fred has the ability to manifest beings and/or events into reality which could possibly end the world but hasn't whereas Junko's had superhumanly good analyst abilities which she used to spread despair. Basically one has possibly world ending powers yet hasn't brought about the end-times and other has powers that aren't able to end a world but had been used to do so.

Lightning goes right through it, and Fireblight Ganon was able to overcome it through brute force alone during Age of Calamity. If he can do it, Cloud probably could too.

@@MizuKappa well I can explain that it is said Majora can do that but that's only from a hypothetical standpoint, we aren't clearly told FD can do that, it's just stated it has the potential to do that, but I can say that with that it would make him Dimensional level but we're never shown those feats only told it could do that, as much as I love LoZ, the real winner is Cloud here since well, LoZ vs FF isn't necessarily fair for LoZ at all, it would have been more of a stomp if they chose Lightning and she becomes a god in her game, but overall the battle was good and the research was done better this time, though kinda odd that they mentioned some stuff and left it out for both combatants

As a rather angry ranting video pointed out Link could just wait until Cloud exhausts his mana and then Link could drink it. Cloud wouldnt have enough mana left to use the materia that steals mana and would be at a disadvantage.

@@autisonm I mean with their ridiculous speed scaling to bahamuts travel speed link didn’t stand a chance, but I call bs on cloud moving at the same speed as bahamut and I’m still on the fence about Sephiroth using an actual supernova as if he was that powerful he wouldn’t need meteor also it fits with Sephiroth using fear and illusions to intimidate his enemies. Still even with all that without magic armor this fight is basically a draw, link has surprise and long term advantage but cloud has enough power to take link out with 1 or 2 hits and the durability to survive the defense ignoring fierce deity blasts, but with botw 2 link can now fly and go through walls so he definitely has a crazy edge on versatility. If any fight deserves a draw it would be this one

1) The Triforce of Courage doesn’t give Link invulnerability. 2) Cloud cast Remove (which basically does the same thing as Ancient Arrows). 3) That’s more accurate to say that he resisted it because of his items.

That said, the Triforce of Courage is a divine relic of unspecified power, but considering you can have any wish granted if all three pieces are together, including bringing back the dead, it may well be limitless. I want to know how Cloud broke through it. Like, I know he can cut through trains and buildings, but like I said, even a single piece of the Triforce is incredibly powerful, and it’s not really clear if it can be broken through conventional means.

Kingdom Hearts isn't canon, and the reason they had all of Link's powers carry over is because choosing one Link to do a fight would be annoying, as it'd require figuring out what Link is strongest, and then every Link fight would have to only show that Link or people would complain that they used a weaker one, and people would argue about which Link is strongest, it just isn't worth it. They chose to composite Link to save that headache, and because it's more interesting.
