My kids ATV is basically the same ATV. The 110 motor blew Last week and I did the same swap but kept the stock sprocket on the rear. I made a spacer so the drive pulley on the torque converter won't fully engage so my kids don't get hurt and limited it 35 mph ... They love it

Did you have to drill the carb like he did? I feel like it was something else and that didn't need to be done?
@GriddleMeThis Жыл бұрын
@@timsolomon8352 I didn’t do anything to the 212 engine but bypass the governor.

Is it possible, since it's gravity fed? No fuel pump I imagine, that drilling the jet wasn't necessary? The fuel line curling like it was would cause issues... also removing the throttle screw probably played a big part.

Drilling the jet isn’t necessary but it does give it more power.

Hey! I am starting to do something similar to yours, so how did you do your build? I was planning to make mine a chain driven sprocket gearing, but what's the difference if I put clutch/torque converter/etc? I'm new to this.
@DIYD_Do_It_Yourself_Dad3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think a clutch is strong enough that’s why I went with the torque converter. It worked very well. I think the clutches are rated by tire size and the tires on my atv were way bigger than what a clutch was rated for.

Don't think you did, but did you bypass the gov? If you do, you can prob get an extra 10mph+

Is that drillbit. What size is it. The smallest I can find is 1/16
@DIYD_Do_It_Yourself_Dad2 жыл бұрын
It’s a 60 gauge. You have to buy the whole set at harbor freight to get that bit.

What size chain and rear sprocket ? I’m in the middle of doing this ? Got the torque converter the chain that was on my atv was a 428? If you have a link for the chain and sprocket that would be great. And I’m guessing 5ft right? Thanks

I have wanted to do this found one for $100 on market place. I was worried about torque , stop to pulling power, hill climbing? It’s pulling a grown man I imagine a 60-75 lb kid it would be ok
