Thank you for reacting to another Linkin Park song! This song holds a special place in my heart, as a song I related to very much when my mental health declined in my early teenage years. It really helped put words to what I was feeling, and Chester's voice expressed so well how I was feeling inside at times. Hope to see more Linkin Park reactions. If you want to go very early Linkin Park, you could check out "And One" from Rock am Ring 2001. That was the first song the band wrote with Chester after he joined, and Chester's performance of it is quite special. If you want to see Chester even earlier in his career, you could check out his previous band Grey Daze; they released two albums Wake Me and No Sun Today, in the mid to late 90's, when Chester was in his late teen-earliest twenties. It's a different genre as well, which makes it even more interesting. They've done some remakes of the songs after Chester's passing, but I'd recommend checking out at least one original first if you're interested. No matter what LP/Chester related songs you might chose to react to, I'll happily come back to watch!

One of the best. Rock has so many unique sounds. He's one of them like Kurt Cobain, Chester Bennington, Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry. Those are unique rock voices that I can think of and all the above had powerful vocals. Steve Perry, like Chester, could go from hard to soft, but Chester was in the metal genre.

When I saw Linkin Park in 2005 on a 5 band bill in St.Louis with Mudvayne, Deftones, Limp Bizkit with Metallica headlining I had only heard this one song & I believe it was on some show like Solid Gold a few years before. When I left that show I was really impressed with Limp Bizkit. They were bad ass. Linkin Park came out after and blew the roof off. I thought they were better than Metallica as it was my 3rd Metallica show. Chester (R.I.P.) was so cool, so humble, so real... Gone way too soon.

Right from their first major hit it was clear that Chester was a seriously tortured soul. I’m genuinely so proud that he was able to successfully fight his demons for as long as he did. I feel like the ending to his story had an element of inevitability. He tried so hard, and got so far.. but in the end losing Chris Cornell was something he just couldn’t get through.
