Her and Mike met in 2019. In an interview I believe he said it was like '21 when him and Joe decided to "Start hanging out and just messing with music" and more and more with these "Jam Sessions" it wound up being Emily and Colin that they would invite, and the more they played the more it "Started sounding like Linkin Park". I know there's an interview with the whole band, the one that came out like the day after the livestream where Joe said getting the band back together wasn't really on his radar until one of the Jam sessions and he heard Emily Scream..then he was like..oh wait..we need to talk about this

They were already working on stuff with Colin and Emily, when Brad Delson dove in and is like: "This is incredibly awkward but I think I like this." And thus Brad was on board helping them write stuff, found Alex to do the tours in his stead, and now... we get to enjoy their brilliant chemistry together. Edit: after Sao Paulo concerts, there is No doubts whatsoever, that Alex is now part of Linkin Park. Just face it, there are 7 band members, and we love them.

Emily and Mike have been working on some stuff since 2019 they said. Not really with the objective of making her the singer. They were just collaborating..doing stuff and the relationship just organically progressed from there with the guys and then it happened. So yeah... she's able to build that chemistry with that head start I suppose and it is evident on screen. 😊

There is a strategy why they released that particular track 2 days before album release. The nay-sayers are the 2facerz, not believing in LP coming back up and talking them down. But the bros already knew that the album is going to skyrocket and just trickled this piece out to shake the cage a bit... unfortunately noone gets that 4D chess move. They're having a frigging blast doing this video, the music is 100% LP and catchy as hell, so yeah another hit under the belt. And Mikes last sentence is directed right at the 2facerz. This whole track is a proactivive "told ya" in shadow of the album.
