@@purpledrea45 Yes, the first lines are from Darker Than Blood by Steve Aoki featuring Linkin Park, and later there's the chorus from A Line in the Sand from Linkin Park's album The Hunting Party, which I highly recommend, by the way. I'm not a fan of ALitS exactly because of the chorus, but most of the album is phenomenal. Maybe their best. Chester's voice in the chorus of Mark the Graves is just chilling.

Just a reminder soldiers around the world, from the United States forces . Spend long times away from their families,my youngest son has been sending on yearly deployment for 3 years in a row now. My oldest son is always away because he is a Jumpmaster in the airborne for the special forces. I do miss Chester. His death hit me hard. Usually famous people’s death don’t hit me but his did. I grew up with them and related to a ton of Linkin Parks music and always had a dream to see them in concert but never got to. It hit hard that I related so much to Chester more than I thought. I looked up to him. Thought he was stronger than me. We need to keep more of an eye on everyone. You never know when they are struggling.

If you wonder what goes through a soldiers mind that's been in combat, this video reflects it. Memories. A lot of bad memories. I've been in US Special Forces for 12 years now and this is the first time I've seen this video or even heard this song. When I was watching it my mind was reflecting on memories. So many different memories just like you see in this video. To all you combat vets out there stay grounded my brothers. Compartmentalize. It's what I tell everyone of our new team members. Compartmentalize all you remember that you do and remember why you did it. It will keep you grounded. 👍

The scene where he was aiming at a child really got to me..Early days in Afghanistan we had, as snipers, to take down kids who shot at our troops. They didn't know what they were doing. Kind of playing with their guns hitting close by to my troop forcing us to take action. So young and their whole life ahead of them being forced into this shit. Still haunts me to this day 20 years later. No, I'm not American and offically my country weren't even there at the time. We were just "kids" ourselves..

I respect the soldiers and I'm going to take a moment to think of your friend Brice after writing this, even though I don't know him, I'll imagine what he might have been like to honour his memory and sacrifice. But please, please don't buy the narrative from the elite of your country's leadership. You have two parties. One is a very far-right-wing, bordering extreme-right-wing, corrupt ultra-capitalist party. They're called the Democrats. And then the other one's even farther right. And they're all influenced by ultra-rich people, who are hoarding wealth faster and faster to a point where your country hardly be called wealthy as a country anymore. It's an oligarchy masking as democracy. I'm seeing from the outside how corporations are making slaves of the working people.
