As a veteran this hits me on many levels. But one thing I can keep my head up about is that no matter what the circumstances, we still need to try to protect the innocent. That's what I tried to do and that's what I will continue to do until I draw my last breath! I did what I thought was right, now we have to keep fighting to keep our country alive. Just cause you can't fight physically anymore it doesn't mean you can't fight!! Keep your heads up soldiers we can't let our country fall or it will all be for not!!

The second I heard Charlie Chaplin's speech I teared up. That is by far one of my most favorite speeches I've ever heard and to think it was Charlie Chaplin's first and LAST speaking role is insane to me. Oh listening to chester and that excerpt from "hands held high", these new lyrics, these video clips from my fave movies and eminem and the starting verse - this is so prescient. My father served in WWII alongside his father who had suffered PTSD from WWI. This was the most painful part of the war for my dad I believe. To watch his father become only a shell of what he used to be. People in North America seem to glorify violence and war but their only experience is from games. I pray that we never face this reality
