It feels to me like respecting people's talent has taken a backseat in the KZbin era, since we are in fact so inundated with gloriously talented people so much, and also have access to a huge backlog of talented people who have come before. Maybe we've all just been in shock all this time, and at some point, being amazed at someone's art will be a thing again. Goodness knows I'm tired of tabloid-chasing pseudo-celebrities. I just liked the music, until I went through an emotionally traumatic breakup. Then all the sudden the lyrics that I’d heard a million times said out loud what was in my end, and for maybe the first time I was really listening. It was comforting to know that the musicians probably went through the same things themselves and that I’m not alone

Even it's been four years since Chester passed away, I still get emotional whenever I listen to his music and reminisce about being 14 and wearing all black with my bangs covering my eyes, just trying to survive middle school and my first year of highschool while dealing with depression and problems at home, listening to Skillet, Three Days Grace, 5FDP, Linkin Park and other bands to cope and find others in the same situation as me. Great cover you guys, fuckin killed it. 👍 RIP Chester Bennington, gone but never forgotten

This.. Was unexpected. I felt my whole body get flushed when Arin was singing. I'm proud that he's come so far to bring this to all of us. My body is conflicted with being happy for Arin, and my own personal emotions for this song for younger me. I'm happy, sad, angry, and proud all at the same time, all for different reasons. Happy for the cover, sad for Chester, angry at myself, and proud of our video game boy. Keep rocking, man.
