I liked Emily as lead singer in The Emptiness machine, but when I heard this... OMG! I totally fall in love with her!!!!! She's f*ing amazing!!! And this comes from someone that can sing EVERYTHING Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and most of Mariah Carey sing without effort. Animation is actually done by talented Riot Games team and the song itself is the anthem for League of Legends Worlds 2024 which is sorta World Championship. Video features the best of all players who are now participating in the competition and also obviously the band members. It's an annual event just as Anthem with its video clip is.

Emily's 15 second scream in this is actually more difficult than Chester's 17 second scream in Given Up. Chester changes his note 2/3 through but it's much harder to sustain the same note.

The reason I am comparing their screams is in reply to everyone saying she is worse. Longer screams doesn't necessarily mean better scream. Holding a note that long without going up or down an octave is really difficult without your voice cracking. I think you really need to count from when she started singing, because she did not breath before the scream which makes it 16-17 seconds without a breath. She did around 13 seconds live with the song in the end which is pretty impressive also.

Long time LP fan as well. I’m sure a lot us, fans, has the same reason of how much the band means to us and how it impacted our lives. We ALL grieved and a lot are still grieving. Controversies aside, it is unfair for Emily to get all the hate she’s getting regarding the MUSIC. It is an IMMENSE undertaking to take on the role she’s taking place for. She understood that. We all seen that. She was BRAVE and did the best she could. As evident she got more confident and comfortable she is doing much better in her live performances. At least for me, I am happy for the rest of the band to come back together and do what they love… make and play MUSIC. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who got emotional for their return. Fans of current and former need to focus on just the MUSIC not anything else. We all have the choice to press play or not. The band has moved on and supporting fans has as well. There are still millions of fans continuing to support them. There are plenty of other bands to listen to. The hate needs to be laid to rest.

When I first listened to the song, when Emily first delivered the lines "this is what you asked for, heavy is the crown" I saw it as a clapback to the haters who were saying that were saying she's trying to replace Chester. I believe it's saying that Linkin Park making more music is what everyone asked for and now the band has to their part to carry Chester's crown and make him proud. That thought became even more solidified when I heard Mike say that "Chester is all of you". I believe that he wasnt just referring to us as the fans but the entirety of Linkin Park, the band and fans included. I honestly already warmed up to Emily when The Emptiness Machine dropped. Her vocal range and her lung capacity to pull off a scream like that is insane and I welcome this new chapter of linkin park.

Hi! I have to tell you that I love the way you're reacting to linkin park's songs. I discovered that Linkin Park did a comeback thanks to this song because it's gonna be part of the Worlds from League of Legends (the animation is based on teams that are fighting for the cup, so "heavy is the crown" is pretty relevent here because the one who has it the best player in LOL right now. So he has to fight to keep it and be aware he can loose it). And if I have to be honest, I didn't really have the hype about Linkin Park. I appreciate 2 or 3 song but nothing more. But this song was THE START for me. Emily is the one Linkin park needed and she's the one that made me into it. Haters will hate no matter what. If you don't like the fact that they've returned, don't buy the album or listen to the new music. No one is forcing you either way. LP are honoring Chester but reinventing themselves, not replacing him. The old material will always be his legacy and no one can erase that. Picking a female vocalist was genius and this is Linkin Park 2.0, a new chapter and a fresh start. Great to have them back!
