Quick note about this live version, from Wikipedia: This Is from their live album "Live in Texas", basically on August 2 and 3 of 2003 in Houston and Dallas The video footage is made up of the audio from the Dallas show and video from both the Houston and Dallas shows; because of this the band had to wear the same clothes on two shows, although there are still noticeable differences. For example, it can be seen that Mike Shinoda wears two similar but different shirts, Brad Delson's guitar sometimes changes multiple times in the middle of songs from a red PRS to a black Ibanez, Dave Farrell's basses change a few times as well in the middle of songs, as well as lead singer Chester Bennington's shirt soaked with sweat, and it being completely dry the next time he is shown on screen. This is from the Live In Texas CD/DVD, which was filmed over two shows on the Summer Sanitarium tour. The audio is 100% live, it’s just taken from two shows. Just watch any other straight live performance to know that they were legit live.

Also, react to numb/encore with jay z and Linkin park, but if you have, check out Jay Z’s tribute to Chester by singing it a year or two later after Chester’s passing, and like 13 years after they first performed it with Linkin Park together. It’s emotional and he performs his parts with his band, with a recording of Linkin park’s parts alongside. The video is called “JAY-Z - Numb/Encore in the Live Lounge” It’s a great tribute.

Maybe a snippet from an upcoming documentary. But, yeah, the production style destroyed the flow of "liveness"...never heard the crowd 'till the song was over...never "felt" the audio "space" was large enough for a crowd...
