Your entire reaction at 10:50 is so wholesome and priceless. The surprise, followed by even more surprise that builds into uncontainable giddiness-and the lingering smile and passion afterward. You _get_ it :D As far as songs go, "Place For My Head" is iconic, "Leave Out All The Rest" is softer and heart-wrenching, and "In Pieces" is unique and has some interesting harmony in the second verse.

When they were recording this song Mike kept telling Chester to do a longer scream and Chester got tried of that and just did a 17 second scream. Afterwards Chester realized he would have to do that live and wished he had done a 10 second scream instead. Chester wrote the lyrics to this song just after getting out of rehab in 2005. He brought this song and several others to Linkin Park. He wrote this about his struggles with dealing with his divorce from his first wife Samantha. He used music to help him deal with his feelings in a healthier way than turning to drugs and alcohol all the time. This song was a way for Chester to tell the fans how he felt during and after his divorce.

Incredibly touching to see! I've loved her and this format from the very first second! Saw it by chance last week because of Metallica! It moved me to tears to see her emotionally shake and experience live and to experience the same emotions myself, just as Siebes discusses and authentically shows what these artists, all the performers, have created! She is the additional proof of the effect of this music, of these artists, which should impress the artists themselves just as much. She, as an unbiased listening and watching artist, reflects the effect of the art form of music on an unbiased person with all its emotions. Unbelievable. I love it, thank you very much.

Once you learn how to do harsh vocals in a healthy way, this often becomes one of your favourite songs for that sustain. I actually used this song to intentionally practice holding a scream for as long as I can while ALSO being able to manipulate it and bring down it's pitch over time. I've gotten to a whopping 28 second scream doing this now by learning circular breathing and intentionally taking a big breath just before it. Chester was a vocal legend who was the FIRST person to introduce to me anything other than compression or anything that resembles an actual scream. His influence on my music, and ultimately my life path after becoming a vocalist, will forever be an important aspect of my Journey. Losing Chester was the first time a celebrity passing ever actually effected me in any way, for for about 18 months I couldn't listen to LP without breaking down. I've since gone on to listen to MUCH more intense music, but I will never forget those roots and often come back to them for their nostalgia, and because let's be honest, Chester can SING!

Awh man! I knew LP when Chester was alive, but after he passed, listening to LP was like discovering a whole new band and boy was his pain / suicide so obvious when listening to the lyrics of almost all the songs he wrote… RIP Chester and sorry for really really really digging into your music AFTER you’ve given up and throw the towel on this reality

One of my absolute all time favorite songs of all categories. Have had a hard time to listen to it since his death, though. Seeing this video and hearing it again, makes me think it is time to bring it out again. Chester’s singing is beyond great! So sad we had to lose him. 💔

I so enjoy when the audience is a part of the show. Knowing what we know now, this song sounds like a cry for help to me!!! Chester is right on for the song and working his tail off!!!! a driving beat........ AND the screams are other worldly....... 17 seconds!!!!!!!

Their cover of Rolling in the deep is very cool. Yes, Chester is extremely tired there and might miss a note here and there but it's worth a watch :) Btw, it's awesome to experience this song as if for the first time, through your eyes. I remember having this reaction as a 13 year old discovering them for the first time.

I was lucky to see Chester perform front row at the shoreline amphitheater before he passed. Years back. He did the most amazing thing I’ll never forget before his set. He was doing like some kind of voice pitch tuning with the monitors on the stage. He vocals sounded like an instrument I never heard anything like it in my life. RIP.

If you really want to see Chester live with pure raw energy and sing with his heart, watch the Live in Texas version Of "A Place For My Head". BTW, "Given Up" is my favorite LP song, but they have so many incredible songs, it's hard to chose a #1.

When you got goosebumps and your face lit up, it was so awesome. There will never be another Chester. RIP. I consider myself a lucky person to have seen him live. The pain, the hurt, the sadness he came from. Truly amazing song and band! Leave out all the rest. It's slower...if you wanna break that down I'd love to hear your thoughts ❤

Rest in Peace Chester. I was lucky to see LP live 4 times. My all time favorite band. Chester and Chris Cornell (rest in peace Chris) from Audio Slave were great friend's. No one paid attention to their lyrics when both were alive, but listening to both of all their songs after their deaths, you come to realize they were both screaming out for help. 😢

You need to watch his live Jimmy Kimmel live performance of One More Light that he did right after his good friend Chris Cornell killed himself. Powerful performance, great, fitting song for the circumstance. You can feel the genuine anguish and grief especially in the final cry of the song. To keep composure in that moment to the extent that he did with what you know he was feeling in the moment speaks for his level as a performer, his love for his friend and the sincerity of the lyrics in his song. It's beautiful.

Chester's death for me was (and still is) the biggest tragedy of all the deaths of public people ever. I still feel the unbearable pain of what happened and I still can't believe it. His shit in his head was always bothering him. It's the same with me. He tried to explain what the problem was, but it just wasn't working. I feel the same. It's a hard-to-explain immensity that presses down on you and only a few can understand. That's why it's so sensitive to me. Chaz is a legend. For real. R. I. P. 11:00 yeah, and this is exactly the kind of reaction I expected at this point 👍🏻

Lost in the echo live in Japan and QWERTY live in Tokyo. The first showcases the band & Mine a little bit more than just Chester, but Chester has a huge impact on that. QWERTY showcases Chester's ability to rapidly switch from distortion to clean vocals.
