You should try to 100% it. There's a few cool things to do, like getting the lynel echo, and a lot of sidequests in every area after you finish the main quest. I can't wait for min echoes. 10 is the lowest you can learn, but the lowest you need to spawn is probably in the mid 50s

I actually love that so many NPCs knew Tri. I can't remember another game where the companion was really acknowledged by any of the other characters other than in important story moments. Being able to walk around and talk to people who would address Tri was really nice~! It made them all turning their heads looking for Tri at the end so much more sad...

The intelligent dark echoes are clones of who they copy. They have all of their memories, but their personalities are rewritten to serve Null. Ganon remembers his battles against the Hero. The King knows that Zelda is his daughter. Facette knows how to convince Seera she is legitimate. So the Zelda Echo isn't just a body for Null, she's a distinct being.

I dont know if this is intential but conde reminds me a lot of the anouki from phantom hourglass and spirit tracks. Their antlers, jacket-like fur, and even the way they kick their feet while talking are all really similar. Personally, i feel like this is an Anouki but with traits from tp's Yeto. I love the anoukis and honestly zelda doesnt have a great "ice species". Zoras have filled that role traditionally but its always been bad for them. Would love to see this species, anouki or not, in future games

I love how link maintains his status as the original gangster at the end, the gameplay looks like they pulled of the AI perfectly to make it so he just comes out of coma and is just ready to start kicking ass in the name of his priestess.

the AI on link is so incredibly good. it seems like it would be such a risk on their part, because that AI not working would be devastating to the game as a whole, but they really REALLY knew what they were doing. i've had 0 glitches and essentially no frustration with it.

this was an excellent way to implement everything from echo of wisdoms into the final boss. and they didn´t even use ganon as the great evil and came up with something new. one of the only things that could have been improved would have been some kind of "quickwheel" for your echos and make it customicable. cause at the end the list gets way too long. on the other hand, a very enjoyable game with something new. and i think they nailed it with their intentions: creating a zelda game, where anybody can come up with different solutions.

I kinda thought that Null is something like, a remnant of Demise from Skyward Sword. Maybe it decided to stop reincarnating Ganon and try to get the triforce himself... but I may be wrong Also, you can pick Echoes from the main menu, which doesn't sound that useful, but you have the options. But yea, a "Favorite Echoes" book marking could be appreciated

EOW and TP are somehow alike when we think about it! The boss of the zoras is to jump down and fight under water like TP, the rifts are basically like the Twilights, you can't go in the rifts without Tri just like you can't go into the Twilights without Midna, Tri is basically Midna, the things we can move with our wand just like with the wand in TP, the other Tris are like the Mask's parts we need to get back for Midna, the beginning where Zelda is locked in the castle's dungeons like Wolf Link AND the yetis.. I was at first not going to like that game, but I think it somehow changed with the let's play and the alike stuff from Twilight Princess

I loved the Faron and Hebra dungeons most. Faron was the most lost I've ever felt in a 2D dungeon, and I think it takes advantage of the game's open-ended nature really well. Gerudo was sort similar but it felt like it kind of lacked focus. Hebra just felt like a really well executed classic 2D dungeon. I love when mechanics span multiple rooms and physically change the dungeon, and the bottom floor of Hebra was exactly what I was hoping for.

Every time a speed runner mentions an intended mechanic as “breaking” the game or OP when it’s really just a clever use of intended mechanics to make the puzzle easier. Like they give a power that is intended to movie items, hence you use it to move items, that’s not breaking the game. Thats using intended gameplay mechanics to solve a puzzle.

Yeah, that part really got to me watching TotK runs when people kept using Zonai devices for their intended uses and then assumed they were "breaking" the game. Nintendo specifically programmed the ability to fuse a rocket to your shield and then bring that shield into a shrine. You're not doing anything they hadn't thought of. If they didn't want you to have infinitely climbing spiders and stack-able water blocks, they wouldn't have put those things into the game.

I might be odd in saying this. But I kind of feel bad for Null. Yes he was destroying the possibility of existence there. But he was kind of just doing it in his own space already. And then the goddesses came along and sealed him away. I can sort of sympathize with him wanting to just be in a space of your own alone with nothing else.

Heavily hinted that this takes place after A Link Between Worlds, knowledge of both the Triforce and Ganon has been lost/forgotten. Multiple people refer to Ganon as "a large blue monster" which makes sense since Link killed him in A Link to the Past, the one that you see in this game is just an Echo and not the real Ganon as he's still dead, even after 2 failed attempts to resurrect him (Seasons/Ages and ALBW), and isnt properly revived until The Legend of Zelda. The only thing that is a bit off is that the Deku Tree and Goddesses also refer to it as the prime energy, but thats probably just them taking advantage of the fact that knowledge of the Triforce has been forgotten, as the only others who even knew of its existence was the King and Null.

As soon as I could control Link in the beginning, I change the setting to Hero mode and each fight was a challenge including the dojo. I completed the game 100% in 30 something hours and I think it's the optimal experience for the first playthrough.

i didn't realize i could grab enemies other then the dekubaba, so when i got to the end of the fighting null, i thought i was softlocked cuz i don't realize i could grab it. i tried sending every echo at null and when that didn't work I almost restarted the fight. i spent 5-10 min trying to figure out what i had to do... I had no idea you could grab the arms of null till i watched the speedrun.... I had thought you could only grab your own echoes....
