WOW!!!..Those Linn's are super awesome...They are way cooler than anythiung modern..As long as they have a heater in them it would seem to be a great tractor...I am sure they could have some things that would make them better but they still run well ...Thanks for sharing this with us..-John

My high school best friend hooked me on your web page close to the beginning. Then I found the youtube channel I always loved the Lynn tractors, this is the first time I have seen them in action. That's a sight you don't see everyday. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we had a sleigh on the farm that was still used but pulled by a farm tractor. Naturally our sleigh was maybe a third of the size of yours and that was back in the late fifties.

When I was growing up, I'm 69 now, I had a friend who had 3 Linn Tractors. I was lucky enough at 15 to drive one and plow over some 6 -8 inch diameter trees! He love up a hill on a dirt road about a quarter mile from the paved rural road. Our town had a Walter Snow Fighter that at the base of the hill while plowing snow slid into the ditch and was severely stuck. The town boys call for another lesser plow truck loaded with sand and chains on the tires to come pull the Walter out. They couldn't pull it forward and up out of the ditch. One of the guys had a hairbrained idea to go up the hill and see if Bob would come and try it with one of his Linns. Bob drove one down the hill and chained up to the Walter sideways so he was perpendicular to the Walter. The guys were amazed that he was going to do it this way instead of pulling the Walter forward. Nevertheless Bob fired her up and pulled the truck out of the ditch like there was nothing to it. The town boys were flabbergasted that it worked. Linns have a unique track system that molds to the shape of the ground they crawl on. I was a patent of their own and was different from that Caterpillar track system. As soon as Linn went out of business Cat bought all the Linn patents and buried them somewhere deep in the corporate vault never to be seen again. Linns used to haul 20 or more sleighs of first cut timber out of the Adirondacks. We lived in the foothills. Last night my home town got 4 feet of snow. I wonder if the old Walter Snow Fighter is still plowing snow?

What a lovely Christmas present for KoO followers! I keep waiting for all the trucks to be broken down and the helicopters weathered in so Brochet and La Brochet call on you to bring them their desperately needed supplies (not that I want anyone to be on the brink of starvation or freezing to death). Maybe there needs to be a cat train competition like the Idiarod in Alaska. You and Xena would win for sure! The scenery reminded me of growing up on our farm after a covering of snow. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful show.

the Linns were highway trucks for the bush but once the road end, they stopped. in the end it was too much cost to make a road for them when cats would do the same job with out a road. the dream catcher is to look for minerals in the bed rock which they have been doing for the last 80 years using these electronic instruments. thansk

😅it looks like ,and it sounds like free American fun to me, I made my Christmas dinner, on my menu: turkey, stove top dressing, giblit gravy, and I made mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes in syrup, Brussels sprouts carrots broccoli bell peppers green beans, and (Two Ingredients biscuits a small portion, is 1 1/2 self rising flour and 1 1/2 cups on both of these and the second one of heavy whipping cream, mix and fold and roll out as thick as yuo want them, cut them in circles,and I made yesterday white dump cake with canned peach halves and syrup, and 2 sticks of butter, cut the butter in equal slices and layer all around the top of the dump cake mix after you dump the cake mix in on top of the peaches and then put it in the oven for 375 or for 400 I think it might be for I think it’s one hour I’m not I don’t remember that for sure I think it’s 60 minutes 50 to 60 minutes, I’ll check and tell you later, yummy , nice , I take it you Zene haven’t said IDoyet, lol BigAl California thanks

Great video. I read approximately 2500 Linn tractors were built between 1916 to 1952 but not sure how accurate the article is?Locking diff would have been a good idea but maybe that would make it harder to turn corners? Not sure? Those two Linn tractors and the sleighs are awesome. Great sound. I really enjoyed the in cab video as well. Good to exercise them and keep them working. Not easy I know to maintain all that equipment.

yes and we do it 3 times before unhooking plus it put all the "slop" in the sleighs being back so when going forward they break free thansk

I’m late discovering your channel ; very neat stuff. Are the tanks and barrels full of fuel or just for optics? Your dad ; “the geezer” is a treat and his skills seem unlimited. Love those sleighs and all of the other toys TY keep up your good video and narratives

thank you we are living a forgotten life style of the cat trains from the 1940s-50s before the Ice Road Truckers took over. they would be haul drums of fuel and tanks too but in today new world we could never be able to afford to fill them. will keep up the fun videos thansk
