As a 4090 owner, I can honestly say that I don't regret my purchase after the 50 series announcement. 450 watts is already stretching my power supply - both internally and the breakers in my home - and I have legit only used my heater for my appartment for 2 days during the entire year of 2024, as my 4090 spits out enough heat to warm the entire place on it's own. I do not even want to think about adding almost 200 watts of extra heat and power to this equation.

This is why benchmarks and KZbin content creators need to get a hold of it so we can see the performance For it being blurry you know compressed KZbin isn’t the best comparison and even then in person on a 4k screen it’s not going to look that bad at all.

I did not buy nan LG G4 and a 4090 for Jensen to turn my raster into a blurry mess. Ill stick to the real frames and wait for him to make a real frame GPU That has at LEAST a 60% improvement over the 4090. Keep your parlor tricks to yourself Mr. HUANG.

Those cards are just cheapest trash. Even my 4070 Ti Super manages to get around 25-30 fps (native res) in Cyberpunk with PT on. So the cards are exactly 0% faster, it's again, all just smoke and mirrors with DLSS. Without DLSS those cards have exactly the same performance footprint (while having way higher power draw) as the 4xxx series and that is a problem no matter the pricing of the cards. There is zero reason to upgrade apart from having even more smeared frames with DLSS4 and it's multi frame generation.

Still holding my breath until I see more hands on reviews of the 5000 Series. NVIDEA is putting a LOT of their performance numbers on AI powered DLSS 4. If the game doesn't support it or is badly optimised I can see those numbers go down the drain fast. Will be interesting to see how well it really does

You don't have to play Ultra performance mode, just set the DLSS to Quality and you'll still get high fps + great image quality

@@Blakwoodz yes, well who knows, I guess these issues will be sorted out with DLSS 4.5 or 5. DLSS 1.0 was very blurry even on Quality mode, and by the time DLSS 2.0 was announced it was a night and day difference. Insane. Looking forward to play game at 480p with 4K like image in the future 🤣

To the average consumer, these details are irrelevant in gaming; all this seems like pixel peeping. There are certainly some shenanigans going on with frame gen, and it encourages lazy optimization, but people had the same problem with DLSS, and you rarely hear complaints about it anymore because frame gen is the new thing to hate. I know this is a controversial opinion, but considering that I believe we have already reached the ceiling for graphics performance in an age where everyone is pushing for the most realistic graphics ever (RT + PT), and the ability to create an AFFORDABLE, HIGH-END, MCM GPU is still a long way off... AI was absolutely necessary (even if there was one, you would still grumble about the expense). Pixel peepers will always complain about frame-gen, but a large number of them continue to use it, so I'm not sure who to even listen to... That's my extremely uneducated, unpopular opinion on all of this frame-gen stuff; if you think it's totally off, please educate me on how AMD/Nvidia can enhance raster performance reasonably, because I honestly don't know, and it's not my area of expertise.

Honestly, i don't know a lot of people who like "last 10 years" almost forced of bloom, blur, upscaling and sharpening,and no ability to turn off shadows especially if they are not needed and ruins experience.

@@ArtaEva I would counter to say that the last 10 years of graphics varied greatly but, on average, have drastically increased in terms of realism and graphical output. I would also say that ray tracing wasn't normally done on consumer-based GPUs in the past and was reserved for massive rigs and movies, but now we can do so on "thin and light" ones. I would also say that choppy games are far worse than, what seems to be, mildly compromised graphical quality; otherwise, you would never see a gamer drop their graphical settings to hit 60fps or higher for every single PC, console and handheld (even when the game is designed to run at 30fps, people mod it to 60fps because choppy 30fps is way worse), nor would you see them praise a 30fps game when DLSS and Frame gen didn't exist-they would complain and say it should be 60fps by now. Additionally, when DLSS came out people complained at first but even then still used it because it jumped up their FPS for a more fluid game... The same applies to Frame gen and multiple "pixel peepers" complain about it and still use it, so what's up with that then?

The people who are paying TOP SOLLAR in order to have their TOP DOLLAR monitors like G4 and S95Ds be desecrated by sloppy messy broken frames and trash optimizations aren't feeling satisfied with these results. Not only that we/I am also paying TOP DOLLAR for VR which in no way benefits from the parlor tricks he keeps spitting out. All we are seeing and feeling is the frustration of the ever so apparent stagnation of his money grabbing. NON rasterizing money grabs, generation after generation. Low end is playing "Fake catch up" while the high end is going absolutely nowhere. I was hoping the 5090 would be able to jump in raster maybe just 50% so I could properly run the Pimax Crytal Super and its looking more like 10-30 tops which means I have to wait another 2-3 years to run current VR products. He is slacking and banking at the same time.

"5070 = 4090" And then we wake up to realize that 5070 doesn't calculate more frames, makes your gameplay more responsive, fluid or anything, but just adds 3 more AI frames for each normal 1 and only with DLSS4 and full RT on 😅(It means that if your game was running at 30 fps and you turn all that stuff on, your game is still at 30 fps but now only looking like 120) In short: In a realistic scenario, 5070 is nowhere near 4090 and also isn't much better than 4070 💀They took Cyberpunk and Wukong for their benchmarks for a reason, but they've also shown smth. Far Cry 6 and other games, with upgrade from 4070 -> 5070 getting like 15% boost at best.

Just before Christmas I told people to wait for the 50 series. Some of them didn’t listen and made impulsive buys by convincing themselves and the 50 series will just be marginally better. RIP to those guys

Margin software AI upgrades you mean most of them are not huge increase in raw performance,5080 is very minimal upgrade over 4080s,the only major update is the mult lol Just wait and see how they perform with dlss and fg turned off.
