The previous tenant has reached out to us about the deficiencies and we are hoping to reach a resolution about the condition of the building. In the meantime (I wish I didn't have to say this), please refrain from contacting them in any way. We would *NEVER* condone any kind of online harassment or abuse, and we are embarrassed to hear that some members of our community may have been engaging in this sort of behavior. Linus

The shower separated from the toilet is actually amazing for active commuters, be it runners, long distance walkers, cyclists etc. Most super nice tech companies have some amenities for these people. You get healthier employees, and (from experience) people that are more happy in the morning since they just did their exercise which is a great way to start a day. I know it might be weird having a shower in an office or something but trust me it's amazing when you want to try commuting in a different way (even if it's only once a month!).

Tip from an Electrician: Replace ALL your lighting with LED fittings , including the warehouse (hi-bay type). Sure it may cost a bit more than fluorescent fittings, but you save power and they'll last longer in intensity and lifespan. Also, when your replacing office light fittings, change the ceiling tiles (linings) as you'll benefit with reflection of the light and will feel more spacious and a clean environment. Removing walls, watch for services running within them, it'll be additional costs to alter the electrical power circuits. In dark shelf storage areas, run LED strip lighting to illuminate the back areas of the shelf. You may want to use light colour natural wood in places with some plants around to reflect a Zen happy workplace). Well done on the location, and go ballistic in chopping and changing this property to suit your needs. A tour would be great when its all finished guys.

This is amazing, we're witnessing the birth of an independent accountability auditor. This is something that governments usually implement to protect the consumer, yet LMG has found a way to profit from it, which in turn acts as a feedback loop to ensure that integrity is maintained. This will only make consumer electronics better, as we've seen from other videos how fast influencers like these garner a response from the manufacturers (e.g. Gamers Nexus). Proud to see you go from an amateur reviewer to a juggernaut today. Well done!

@FNLNFNLN
@FNLNFNLN 2 жыл бұрын
@@mycosys The problem is business model. Mainstream outlets are almost entirely advertiser funded, and when all of your revenue comes from advertisers, you kinda can't do big exposes against them or you're just screwed. Subscriber funded journalism is generally better, but since the subscriber base for traditional media tends to lean older and wealthier, they end up almost as out of touch as the advertiser funded outlets. New media, on the other hand, tends to be funded through donations and merch, and the primary purchasers for those are your average consumers, and as a result, they end up the most in touch and honest from the perspective of most people. If you want to know why something is shit, just follow the money.

I am an Architect that focuses in Industrial so this this video felt like what i deal with all the time. I feel like i was doing the walk through before we started drawings for the building TI. A LOT of what you show missing or removed you should definitely go back to the LL and make them fix. Lots of code issues in the video. Hope you can get them to fix it but definitely in no world is that acceptable to turn over a building in the condition. I suppose it depends on what you agreed on for turn over but i would think you wanted it to be code compliant. Also, Large racking like that requires its own permit with calcs and attachment details. Large warehouse racking is no joke and cant just be put wherever and not bolted down. Best if luck. Wish i could jump in and help yall out lol

Unless it's written in the contract. If there are any code violations it is the current owners responsibility to resolve them unless the previous owner caused the major changes AFTER the purchase, albeit see municipality/territorial laws. The removal of the air compressor and other devices on the second floor... the previous owner removed the mechanical properly. There is absolutely nothing wrong or "illegal" with having to use an angle grinder, plasma, oxy/ace torch to remove steel tubing used as a railing. Machinery is typically used to install and remove mechanical equipment.

8:10 this is very true for almost all fields of work. A lot of employers like to think of themselves as creating a "collaborative" workspace or "inspiring creativity" with open floor work plans, yet all of the executives and 'higher ups' get their own private offices. The fact of the matter is that employees vastly prefer their own private offices and would rather not work in an open environment. Most employers do know this and simply use those excuses to justify the cost-cutting measures of an open-floor plan. This is also one of the many reasons that open offices like WeWork are failing.

Yeah, that was a problem at my previous job. It helped that there was a free, catered lunch in the other building though, so that's when we saw the other half of the people.

Damn it's crazy to see how LTT has changed in the 6 years since I've built my first PC. Still honest, consumer focused and ambitious. Also love to see Yvonne on camera, would be interesting to see more of her and what she does.

I love how Yvonne is trying not to have a heart attack every time Linus says they need to upgrade something.

Same for Linus when she's telling him about costs she's looked into like the lighting and covering the walls in cellulose lol.

Yeah, like Pewdiepie, really kind of a nice guy, but a total chump! What has he gone on to develop and do with his GOBS of money! Moved to Japan with his 2 dogs and gf/wife! 🤡 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I like how Linus cares about Luke having two offices, like he's watching out for his old buddy to make sure he's comfy lol. "Like okay Yvonne you can decide where my office goes, by my BFF Luke also needs an office near me!"

This reminds me so much of a lab I worked in. Feels a little bit used and abused, but has absolutely awesome stuff happening in it. In the end, even if there are some things where the seller screwed you over, the cool things you'll do there will completely overshadow that and the team will love it.

If youre going to put your 2 bosses in the aquarium, you need to give them motorized blinds they can close with a single switch. That way they can have some semblance of privacy if they have an important call or a meeting that needs some privacy. Could also be a video about tricking out the boss' space

Since Linus is experimenting with home automation. He could try something like the Inovelli light switches for that. They have extra events for things like double press. So you could make the light switch that controls the light open/close those privacy blinds.

Linus wanting to have air condition in the warehouse is music to my ears. As a CNC machinist I wish I had air conditioning in the factory I work at, during the summer months it can reach over 35*C in there which makes it rather difficult to be concentrated or productive.
