Linus _is_ right about the hats and the hat wall and the whole concept behind it. Making the videos more entertaining and establishing a brand of personality is what got him to where he is; he didn't just accidentally get there. Same concept as in MKBHD's tour when he was talking about how getting a specific zoom shot is what makes him stand out in a crowded YT space, but that's not it at all, people watch for the personality. I feel like he might be sensitive to the idea that he might be perceived as an out of touch millionaire, when at heart he's just a nerd that loves talking about tech, and has found financial success in doing it. I'm really happy seeing his humility shine through, I'm glad I've followed his channel for years.
