I have this case too in all black. I agree with the lack of PSU shroud so I went and had a custom one made by V1 Tech and it looks absolutely perfect and complete. The only problem I had was the very flimsy solid side panel that I had to adjust so it sat flush with the case when closed but this is certainly the best case I had. Crazy thing is I had the Thermaltake View 71 glass case before going backwards in time to get these rather dated Corsair case.
@erickgonzalez57774 жыл бұрын
The / unnaki how much did you pay for the PSU shroud? Also did it come with a cut out for GPU power cable pass through? I was also looking at the Thermaltake view 71 and was thinking about getting it to replace my 780t. How would you compare the 2 cases? Edit: I just looked up the PSU shroud and it’s 80 dollars! That’s basically 50% of what the case is worth currently lmfao. Looks nice but idk if it’s worth to shell out 80 dollars plus tax for a PSU shroud.
@erickgonzalez57774 жыл бұрын
wzero07 i love the design and features the case provides although I definitely feel that they cheaped out on some aspects of the case for 200 dollars. The acrylic panel is easily scratchable and doesn’t make your components pop through like tempered glass. I give it a pass because at the time of the cases release tempered glass wasn’t mainstream. And secondly no included PSU shroud. There’s a lot of “dead space” towards the bottom of the case so Including a PSU shroud for esthetics and practicality isn’t out of line for a near 200 dollar case. My only 2 nitpicks for the case, otherwise love it.

It is a great case! I bought it to do a recent upgrade, but I didn't realize how huge it was. My old computer case would sit under my desk easily but this beast is so tall it barely clears my keyboard tray with just inches to spare. All in all I have no complaints, but I decided to purchase one of Corsair 540 cubes to transfer my build into and was going to save this for a custom water loop build in the future.
@OriginalMergatroid5 жыл бұрын
I owned the 600T, and it was excellent. I have no idea why anyone would complain about the plastic since it's the very thing that allowed the case to be sculpted so well. I also love those drive cages. Any drives mounted in them aren't going anywhere, so the fact they flex a little is a non-issue IMO. I upgraded to the 760T. I had the choice between the 780 or the 760, and I picked the 760. Six years later and I'm still happy with this case. I selected it because it had three 5 1/4" bays, which I needed (actually needed four like the 600T had). The two on the 780T were just not going to do the job. I won't even look at cases without 5 1/4" bays (for my personal PC). I had the 5-year itch to upgrade my case a month or so ago, but instead I ordered in a PSU shroud and added a little more RGB. Cleaned the case up like new and the itch is gone. The only thing I could ask for on the 760T is that Corsair would make a tempered glass side panel for it.

I got this case 4 years ago and I still love it! Em...with some reservations. This case is an absolute beast, it's HUGE, if you haven't seen it live you can't really comprehend how gigantic this thing is compared to "normal" cases. Anything you put inside will look positively tiny compared to other cases. While it's great for the "wow" factor, cable management and ventilation for my air-cooled setup, it can be really inconvenient to place, especially in smaller rooms. Not to mention transportation, which could be a real nightmare if you have a small car. The other downside of the size, while the construction is sturdy, it warps quite a bit. Especially the doors can warp a lot, not being flush with the case can look weird, but they are even prone to simply falling off. You can kinda bend it back into shape, but it somehow never looks right, there gonna be gaps around the edges. The other issue is acoustics. Airflow noise is negligible, but the large structure and chamber inside can amplify sound and resonance real bad, like coil whine, HDD noise and fan vibrations, so the case is prone to "buzzing", and god forbid you have a cheap or old fan with noisy bearings, it's gonna drive you up a wall. All in all, I really do love this case. It's huge, imposing, easy to work inside, cable management is awesome and it's excellent for air-cooled systems. Been using it for 4 years, so that's a badge of quality. Yea, it can be noisy sometimes, and the huge size _can_ be an issue for some, so do check the measurements before you buy.

For a Corsair case, I feel it doesn't offer enough to justify it's price tag. Don't get me wrong, I like the case, but I feel it is too expensive for it's "just average" features. I mean, if it's gonna be extreme air cooling, IMO there just has to be a side fan slot that blows directly onto your GPU(s) and also, maybe another fan slot on the inside that can direct air where it's needed (to the motherboard or GPU). I've got a NZXT Phantom 410 and it has the same features, if not better (like the afformentioned side fans) for 90$. With 8 fans total I get similar benchmarks to water cooling. You also have plenty of space inside to fit any graphics card and ample room in the back for cable management.

This case holds it all. Its more about what you put into it in 2019, but the case offers far superior water cooling options than most of the modern smaller cases do. The possibility to install 140mm fans enables very good cooling and the fan control button at the top enables quick and easy fan control. Only criticism I have is that the standing feet could have been made out of metal as well. It is a quite big and heavy case after all, especially when you pack it with high end components.

Linus I have been a huge fan of you an your site and Jays2cents and many others as you guys have all helped me up-skill from a person who had never owned a gaming rig in 2012 (although I did have a very low spec acer laptop that I upgraded to a duel core and 2Gigs ddr2 ram) to a person who rebuilt his first Intel gaming rig and built a 2nd AMD rig. So with RESPECT not everyone who builds places huge importance on cable management or aesthetics. You could easily add 2 extra cable management holes if you needed to and rubber-line them with the right tools and add cable shroud if you wanted (seeing a cable shroud in just a 90 degree piece of aluminum or PVC?) This case ROCK'S the casbar in terms of space ventilation and room for extra options and will definitely be my choice (or Phantecs Entoo Pro not sure which) for my next dream case, as I can be patient with the tedium of rerouting fan-controllers with splitters. Give some love man. Corsair muffed the icing maybe but this cake tastes great. Thumbs up!

Great review, I bought mine like a year ago after watching this review. The case is huge and looks like something right out of Star Wars with its white and blue fan LEDs (actually they're white, but they look blue), which is similar to Luke Skywalker's light saber, and the same is true of the black and red variant (Darth Vader). Needless to say I'm very happy and satisfied with mine.

"similarly priced case" Lets see, the phanteks enthoo pro cost $99, his bigger brother the luxe cost $150, this cause almost $180, and I haven't mention NZXT case yet.

I was looking at this model then I thought to myself " im going to 600t to save money". Nope, Why is a 5 year model with less features just as expensive or more than the 780t and 760t? Doesnt make sense.

2.5 years later to see this, I did buy the 780T a few months back, I like the spacious interior, but I'm in agreement to seeing how they were using HDD cages, if anything I would've wanted to see removable brackets that could also go where the SSD mounts were able to, at least then you could show a huge open space that's perfect for your custom water loop, or just to improve that airflow by that small a percentage

Linus, I personally went from a Coolermaster to the 760t. Back in the day I was using the Antec P180 full tower and going back to a mid was painful, especially with my SLI setup. My birthday passed recently and this case was on sales at NCIX, so I grabbed one up (hoping in the future for full Cooling loops, alas no full covers for my MSI 760s). You asked for the nitty & not so nice. Personally, I've not seen the 780t upfront, but, I'm in love with the side panels on the 760t, just glorious and so easy to work with. The chassis is very sturdy and I have to agree about the fan controller. If it was something that could be controlled via the board, I would have preferred that. I've kept all included fans in place for now. I did a little checking on the included 140mm fan in the rear and would like to swap that out for an AF140 reg or LED, as they have a higher CFM. I agree it is an amazing Air case, but falls short for Static Pressure. I agree the look of the 780t comes across more plastic than the 760t. I have the white version and the contrast from white to black in the front gives your eyes a more pleasing visual (760t). I DO however, not like the fact that the bottom of the 760t has 1 dust filter for the PSU, however, right after the PSU slot is another 120mm fan slot, with no filtering what so ever, and I would have liked to see some kind of magnetic solution there, much like the top. Either a vented or full cover, would have been great. I found cable management relatively the same from my build to your model above and much as you commented, I have become a fan of NZXT efforts to segment the PSU from the rest of the rig, while providing a great place to "manage" cables, well away from prying eyes and giving your case more focus on what really is the meat & potatoes of any build one is looking to "show off". Overall, I'm still a fan of the 760t and the visual changes to the 780t wouldn't make me go and grab one anytime soon, as the internals, aside from the drive trays, are fairly similar, IMO. From one fan to the man, thank you for the great reviews, enjoyable watching experience and much like the rest of your viewers, the honesty in your reviews. Have a great day and keep up the show, loving the directions so far and if you ever need someone for Graphic Design or Sales... Please for the love of the PC gods, tell me!!!! Christophe

My wife and I built a black one and a white one. These cases are big. For first time computer builders they are easy to build in. Although putting the mother boards in took a us a bit (as i said first time computer builders). The case looks like a bad ass in person. If you are looking for full size ATX cases and using pc part picker. There wasn't very many options. This case stood out. There are a lot of reviews on youtube.

Been waiting for this case for soo long now (I don't remember when it was announced xD). I've been watching Linus' videos for some time, trying to figure out what case to buy - so I've been looking forward to see this particular video. Good as always, although I kinda hoped for a more positive review of it. But never the less, I'm going to buy it whenever I can! :) Keep it up.

Gotta agree, just got a 750D and was surprised by the flimsy thin materials and flex. The hard drive cages seem to be made of cardboard. Build quality is similar to $25 generic cases except the layout design is much better. Thinking of moving back to my old case

I was looking at this case and I was surprised that they still provide the 5" drive trays and the huge drive cage. I have one drive but even that has ssd in it at least. The only thing that draws me to this is the white case. I'm shooting for a white case and purple lighting. I saw a build of that today and fell in love with it. And....my favorite color is not purple!

Another great review. The nitpicking points put me right off, so glad I watched it from start to finish. Still using my HAF 932 Advanced but was looking at this case and the Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 Rev. B Big Tower - but both have niggles that put me off. Want something more spacious than my HAF 932 , but not sure what to go for. I love the 900D but its too large and the issue with bottom flaps falling over seems to be well documented ... Thumbs Up for another great review ..

Had the 600t, now have the 760t! Loving it. My only gripe is when I installed my h100i on top. The cover for the top of the case doesn't sit flush. The screws from the h100I make it pop out alittle. This case looks to big. 760T is where it's at!

I really like how the 780T has what looks like much more structurally stable side panels. Albeit without a hinge.
