Linus, I would like to say something about the pulsefire surge as a customer who has had one for years, and looked at tons of people having the same problems with me, while there's no problem with the mouse's practical performance, all those lights you are paying for and the software which controls it..... the mouse eventually winds up slowing down. It's a hell of a problem to have to deal with and I have not seen any permanent fix on this, and I've been having this issue since 2020.... which tells me that HyperX isn't particularly keen on fixing the issues any time soon. So perhaps if you could do a retake on this video some time in the future, if this mouse makes the cut again, make sure you include this problem, if you need more info on this I'd be more than happy to send a video of my mouse doing what I'm talking about.

A couple notes about the G600: 1. Onboard memory does NOT support macros. 2. All 3 clicks are very light and I find myself miss-clicking A LOT. 3. The profile of the heel of the mouse is awful. Any downward pressure anywhere near the back of the mouse will cause the front of the mouse to tilt upward and the sensor will lift off the mouse pad. If you are looking for a decent mouse with a bunch of programmable buttons including a thumb keypad, get the UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse. (There is also a wireless version. I have both). Some features of the wired one include: 1. 18 programmable buttons 2. 5 onboard memory profiles (they support macros unlike the G600) 3. Pretty good UI for the software 4. Customizable DPI settings. There are 5 incremental DPI settings for each profile, and you can adjust each increment individually 5. Pretty good RGB capabilities 6. Costs less than $35 on Amazon 7. Includes adjustable weight tray I tried so hard to like my G600, but I just keep going back to Utech. It is better in almost every way

Nah man, go to your windows settings, go to Ease of Access, go to Keyboard Settings, toggle on MouseKeys. Legit I used for a long time when I had no physical mouse, how you maneuver your keyboard with no mouse is by using Tab and Shift-Tab Tab goes forward, Shift-Tab goes backwards, in terms of what would normally be clickable things, this works well in browser Hide-and-Seek games because a yellow box will highlight where thing that you can click on are located. To "click" without MouseKeys and without a physical mouse, use Enter. Once you turned on MouseKeys you can turn it off with Alt+Shift+NumLock (when NumLock is on though, not when it's off) MouseKeys is a beautiful thing of support for the disabled but also just a beautiful thing in terms of design from the OS side to the physical implementation side, I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you want to try being Ergonomic with only a regular keyboard, even if you have a mouse, being shoulder-width apart with your arms can be done using MOST full size keyboards, if you have broad shoulders I'd genuinely recommend the Corsair K95, but only the one with 18 G-Keys to the left side.

@Boyetto-san4 жыл бұрын
@@rdmz135 If you care that much about being competitive, by all means weight matters. It auto racing, weight makes such a difference to performance that it's heavily regulated. But as to whether consumers should care about absolute lightest weight in mice, it's like asking what kind of driver should buy an Ariel Atom. If you care in anyway about durability, longevity, and daily usage, you're probably better off with a heavier mouse that doesn't have holes all over it for dirt and spilled drinks to pour straight into the internals, the same way you'd probably want a car with a roof for daily driving. And if you care about other functionalities, obviously a mouse with more button choices and more comfortable shapes matters too, the same way that you might want a car with air conditioning, cup holders, and usable trunk space. By all means, it makes sense to go for the no-compromises lightweight mouse if you really need every edge you can get, but let's be honest, the majority of people who buy into this marketing are just making daily life harder for themselves when they don't play competitive shooters anywhere near as hard and have to use their PC for plenty of things other than gaming.
@Boyetto-san4 жыл бұрын
@@rdmz135 I very much respect that there are people who buy lightweight mice who really can make use of the edge it offers and are willing to live with the compromises. I'm just skeptical of the hypetrain when it got popular because I've run into a few people online who've shat on all other types of mice as if it was only due to sheer ignorance why everyone doesn't have ultra lightweight mice with Kailh microswitches and paracords.

My G600 is 6 years old. Literally no other mouse can compare with the 24 quick access buttons on the thumbpad with G-Shift. Never running out of buttons, macros or options in any game/application is always nice, and I've been dependent on them for productivity because it's so convenient. Who even needs macro buttons on keyboards anymore with this mouse? Besides having to replace the left click switch on the G600 3 times so far (because of the double-clicking issue), the mouse works great. Also, Linus is wrong about the G600 being heavy and not having adjustable weights. If you open it up, you can actually unscrew and take out the weights to make the mouse lighter.

Also don't buy their keyboards. My wife bought a Razer Cynosa Lite keyboard because some letters were faded or gone on my old wired keyboard. Within 2 weeks I suffered from every problem others have mentioned on different review sites: the backlight is too dark even at max illumination. The backlight shifts through the entire color spectrum and you can only setup a fixed color by using their 500MB software package. Because of that software, sometimes a key gets stuck (not on the board itself but in software) so sometimes when you wanna stop moving your character from dropping in a ravine for example, your char just keeps walking as if you kept pressing the forward button. You have to hit that same button again to get in unstuck. And sometimes when playing a movie and pauzing/stopping the movie, the sound in your speakers kept repeating like RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. The only way I found to stop that sound was to either turn off my speakers or kill the Razer software. So that piece of software also took over your entire sound system. But then the keyboard backlight starts running through the colorspectrum once again and you need to restart the software manually to get your fixed color again. And on top of that, the buttons were also in the wrong place and kept giving the wrong symbols compared to what was written on the button. And not to mention that every keyboard I know, has the symbol associated using SHIFT on the top of the button but not this one. The shift-character for that key is located on the bottom of the button, making it completely illogical to use. Upon trying to return it to the store where my wife bought it (Vandenborre), they refused to refund me for buying such a shitty product, although I returned it with the original package, the purchase ticket and within 10 days. I'm sticking to Logitech, those have never failed me, for both keyboard and mouse.

I had an experience with some of these mice so I'm gonna share my thoughts with you. I mostly play(ed) FPS games, I have a medium sized hand an I use an hybrid palm/claw grip. - Razer Basilisk: great materials, the switches feel super responsive and "natural" and it's overall very comfortable, the only downside is the weight but if you're into MOBA and stuff it's a great mouse - Logitech G403: it's crazy light for the size but way too wide for my hands/grip style. I had a very bad time aiming with this mouse since my hand was almost "floating" on top rather than controlling it. The quality is good but I didn't like the click responsiveness as much as the Basilisk - Logitech G205 (wired version of the 305): that's an impressively good mouse all around, materials are not great (but this might not be the case with the 305) but the small form factor makes it great for aiming, plus the switches are quite good too. Definitely recommended - Zowie EC2A: I know it's not in this video but it's the mouse I chose to use and being just a little above 50€ I thought it was worth sharing my experience with it. The baffling thing about this mouse is that the shape is so good that more than makes up for the worse switches (the side buttons are crazy spongy), worse materials (in line with the 205) and complete lack of software or customisation. At the end of the day I recommend watching someone like RocketJumpNinja to have a theoretical idea of witch mouse to choose (based on hand size, grip style and types of games) and then if the mouse you ordered does not feel natural in your hand just return it (I did it via Amazon) until you find the right one, it took me 3 tries (the 205 was for my sister) but it was totally worth it

Figured I'd slap my experience in. -Razer Deathadder/Deathadder Elite: Probably my favorite mouse design ergonomically. The new features on the elite are cool but the big drawback is the sensor that Razer uses. -Logitech M570: Trackball memes and my only experience with owning Logitech mice for some reason. Good build quality and stood up to a couple years of use until I decided I don't like trackballs. -Corsair Scimitar: Bought it on sale for 20. It has a nice feel and minimal buttons(which is my thing for mice) and has great textured sides that while aggressive are good for sweaty hands. I found it very small and narrow for my hands. Was my on the go mouse senior year of high school into freshman year of college. I eventually gave it to my sister who still prefers it to even me and my dad's deathadders(likely because she has smaller hands). -Literally any mouse from Microsoft: Garbage. -G503: My friend has one of these and is pretty nice to use for when we used to mess around at his house. I found the side buttons to be a bit obtrusive for me on occasion for my fat fingers. The Deathadder is the optimal mouse ergonomically. I have experienced occasionally better software and internals but the externals are far superior to almost anything I have used on the market.

Linus (or whoever actually reads comments at LMG), video idea for you: Hottest (temperature) computer build possible, with the goal of being able to cook scrambled eggs in a pan using the heat generated from the rig, without crashing the build.
@DamnZodiak4 жыл бұрын
That's pretty much impossible. You'd need to get whatever cooking surface you're using (forget a pan, no way you can heat that up to a sufficient level) to AT LEAST 65C, probably more if you want anything that resembles the scrambled eggs you're used to. At this point every CPU would be way past stable temperatures. Most motherboards will shut down if you get past 100-110 degrees on your CPU. Even you can run your CPU at, let's say a hundred degrees, even the hottest parts of your cooling system won't go over 60C.

How often do you have to clean it? I've had to take it apart and clean the clicking switches several times over the last couple of years. It's usually fps games that make me notice when I'm getting click registration problems. Also, do you get issues with it dropping the click when you're trying to click and hold the button and then scroll with the mousewheel to select a bunch of text at once? I do, but I don't know if it's worth taking the thing apart just yet.

Had g600 for 2 or 3 years... after Razer Naga lasted maybe 6 months before it died.. Spilled coffee on my g600 and killed it. Immediately ordered another g600. Great mouse for big hands. My 2nd one has the rubberized plastic finally starting to break down after 2 1/2 years but is otherwise still great. That said the Red Dragon M901 is big and comfortable and I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend it, its "Similar" to the Logitech g600, but usually slightly cheaper and comes with spare teflon pads. So far I have 2 of them on different systems and both have been issue free for over 2 years. The materials id say have held up better than the logitech.

@@Thalanox Eh, other than just the usual gunk buildup, not very often. There was a point where I have having it double click on a single left click press. Read it was a static buildup thing. I bought my first deathadder a few years ago, was my first gaming mouse, loved it and it lasted me a good 2 years before enough buttons went out that I couldn't fix it. Got a Deathadder Elite that lasted me about a year & a half before the same happened. Had decided to try something different and got a G600 for more buttons, and man that fucked up my hand good, partly because small hand + big ass mouse, and I think a combination of not knowing my grip style at the time and just being used to Razer's mouse shape. Switched to a G502 for a bit til I could afford something better, and only just recently bought a Naga Trinity and couldn't be happier, hand pain's been gone and I've been really happy with all 3 button setups, fits my hand perfectly as well.
