Clearly the iPhone has a larger battery absolutely but maybe people should wait and see on the pixel before jumping to conclusions. We got our demo pixel 4 xl and left it on for a day with about 3 or 4 hours intensive usage. And it was only on like 18% (bare in mind we get it with 50%) My point being both Apple and Google can do more with less because of clever software. So just wait for launch, if its shit. Its shit but the phone ain't even out yet.

Ra awesome Stop using ram and 1080p as qualifiers as if those are necessary on phones. iPhones run just as smooth with half the ram and better than some phones with 10Gbs. Sheer ram amount means nothing unless you actually optimize. As for 1080p, you literally can’t even tell on a phone screen.

And the ram is only needed because of the OS as mentioned by others. So Google can't just do the bare minimum because "apple sucks", they have to actually offer their customers something

I feel like phone companies are just upgrading their camera every time they release a new phone they are focusing too much on camera department only and calling it innovative? Not for me there are a lot more important things to improve other than camera... like battery, capacity of memory and other features but instead they are removing features like the jack, fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, fm radio, dual sim, expandable sd and others and just focus on camera and making it more expensive. I would much rather have a phone full of features like a galaxy S10 , the lg V50 , or indeed the rog phone . the recent high end S8/9/10 /note galaxys can also plug into a monitor and be used as a pc , my pc died and i used my S8+ as my daily and pc for 1.5 years , and it was really good . i had the galaxy stand and added a usb hub and had full sized illuminated keyboard , wired mouse , and had my choice of on monitor speakers , bluetooth speakers , or the galaxy speaker which was actually louder and quite ok through the dock ......... which also charged the galaxy !

But the loss of the unlimited original quality uploads, mediocre battery life, glaring issue with the face unlock, mediocre storage and the lack of a headphone jack makes it a dealbreaker. Can we all finally admit that removing the headphone jack comes with no significant upsides? I haven't seen any manufacturer make up for the loss of that feature. Hell, the 3A has a bigger battery than the 4. Maybe I'll get the 4A or the Galaxy S10+. But it's harder to find a decent phone that still has a headphone jack and won't force me to spend more on stupid dongles to get a basic feature back.

Personally i would not game on a smart phone if you paid me , so no attraction for me there , but it does have a lot of redeeming features , including a huge battery and headphone jack which is very nice (and unpixel like ).
