It will not ramp up as quickly short term because we are starting to use more ingenious ways of storing, compressing and saving data, but we will eventually need larger physical storage capacity and so that's when Exabyte and Zetabyte size storage configurations will start to appear. Long-term we are only at the start of the digital age, the very start, and theirs a lot more to come going forwards. Consumers will have access to 100TB drives by the end of this next decade, they may not be mechanical, but they will be available.

On server boards it isn't as bad because the CPU cooler is what provides the mounting pressure for the CPU, so it is VERY held on to that board. Worst he could do is fling something like a clip off of it
