Otherwise the system is just going to loose points because the other companys didn't even ask. The same salesman also asked about monitors to rule out 4k or high refresh screens, so it seem very appropriate

Not to mention Ryzen in gaming isn't as bad as Linus portrays. HWU showed that the 2600X performs equally well in 1440p as the 8700K as it becomes more GPU limited. As soon as the game becomes single core Frequency limited the Ryzen will lose out. So basically get a decent GPU with the 2600X and crank up the Image Quality to get the GPU limitation rather than the CPU limitation, which really only applies to a few games these days.

Now that I'm thinking about it I can somewhat pinpoint the moment I realized I was really into PC's. In 7th grade or so when that PC was a few years old I started messing around with the BIOS and I found the setting for Hyperthreading but I'm pretty sure that it was called something else in the Dell bios. So I powered it back on and googled it (didn't have access to another PC at home) and figured out the basics of what it did and turned it on and was sooo pleased with myself. For some reason it was turned off by default, though that could have been due to that computer being made before just about any program was set up for multi threading. Anyways it was an awesome feeling to get a bit of a performance boost for free by just turning on a setting in a bios menu, I was hype for weeks.

just want to say that i think the ryzen system seems like the most sensible specced one, as it was specified for streaming/ encoding aswell as gaming. though i agree there could have been a recommendation for/ more emphasis on getting a graphics upgrade over the AIO, but still for the stated purpose of not simply playing games/ gaming, but playing games/ gaming - *while* streaming or encoding video at the same time, then i think if you ran your benchmarks with that workload as the focus, even to the extent of just not running benchmarks without streaming or encoding at the same time at all, then the 2600+1060 system (especially again where the targeted monitor is a 'normal 1080p' one) would be the one id expect to provide the smoothest experience.

Quite the opposite. It would be one thing if they cancelled the order and never informed you. But what seems to have had happened here is that they cancelled the order so as to prevent money from being taken unlawfully that could not be retrieved once removed from someone's account, and then immediately called you and then once confirming the legitimacy of the order they prioritize the delivery at their own expense. Definitely a win for HP, at least with your credit card information.

The case that i have looks similar to this, but it has a tempered glass front that sticks out to give large air openings on the top and bottom that allow my 2 140mm fans to suck a ton of air in, with a filter of course, and i keep my case with a positive pressure.

They did have the best service, but HP arrived first and the product appears to be better. The 8700/1070 combo should easily top the benchmarks. It has an NVMe SSD rather than SATA and 2TB HDD as opposed to Maingear's 1TB. The HP also has an optical drive, hot swap hard drive bays, and what appears to be better front I/O. The only advantage Maingear has is cooling. The HP's cooling appears to be adequate but really, 92mm fans in 2018? I build my own PCs so I'm not at all the target market for these systems but I've had a good impression of the Omen machines (even recommended one the other day) and it appears I was on the money with that. If you don't want to build it yourself and money is no object, it seems like Maingear would be a good choice. At the $1500 range you're probably looking for the best value and out of these options HP is it.

Anyone who plays games should straight up build their own system, you don't get ripped off and learn a lot about computers at the same time. It's very easy to build too, internet and youtube are full of guides so even idiots could do it.

The Origin is like an aesthetic ornament, not so much a functional gaming PC. It's like a Mac in a way. Powerful but not powerful enough for the price - you're paying for the look. The build quality seems off, seeing how it rattled from being packed badly. Or they just should have packed it properly.
