@@Trainmaster909 If I didnt buy from cyberpowerpc I would agree with you, but the customer support is so god awful I will never do it again. I had so many back and forth messages with the worst customer support rep I have ever had, ended up having my PC delayed so long because of issues I have never had with any other company. 1st thing was an issue with the billing address and shipping address not being the same, I offered to pay with paypal and they wanted me to cancel the order and do i again from scratch and would lose the deals which I selected. Then they wanted me to send a picture of my credit card and my drivers license, the guy sounded like the scammer but it was actually them. then they didnt have the motherboard which I originally spec'd it which resulted in more delays. tried to call them and ask them for the prices but they refused to give out any information over the phone about price differences. All in all the computer I have is fine now, but it was the most painful customer service experience I have had with any company and would recommend that people go to literally anyone else if they want a PC within the next month or 2.

To be fair, $1500 is like pocket money for him anyway. I believe what you saw was the face of satisfaction of not giving them the money, after the whole experience. I think I read somewhere that average people are willing to spend about 10% more consciously (as in he/she knows he's paying more than he/she should be), if they receive a good shopping experience i.e. friendly staff, good explanations, etc. That's how important the interactions are.

@@Rocker1282 I am pretty sure 2 year warranty is guaranteed by law, you will have one by default. You don't get an extra warranty. The only difference is who will see to whatever issue that you have(the store or manufacturer).
@oplik0
@oplik0 5 жыл бұрын
@@WetOlde there is a difference between manufacturer's warranty, and the one required by law. The guaranteed one is actually seller's warranty, which can lead different service - so with manufacturers known for good warranty service, go with theirs, but if manufacturer is known to decline repairs, or take a really long time - go with the seller's. The other difference is that the guaranteed warranty covers only flaws that were there when you bought the product (while manufacturer's may sometimes also cover some types of accidental damage). But during the first year, the seller has to prove that it was your fault to decline warranty service. The second year... Well, it switched around. You have to somehow prove that the flaw was there when you bought the product... The big upside of warranty guaranteed by law is that the service can't take too long, and if the seller doesn't respond in time it's considered as confirmation - so if they pretend to not get your warranty claim, you either get your replacement/money back or they break the law :) Fun fact: in Polish these two types of warranty actually have different James which makes it so much easier to talk about them. If you understand Polish that is... And that isn't an easy language to learn :)
@gustru2078
@gustru2078 5 жыл бұрын
@@ZenMuff1n I don't know in what country you live but here's how it works in Canada : The minimum warranty duration for computers is 1 year unless they're used. Some systems have a 2 or 3 years warranty, depending on its quality and the confidence of the company in its product. That being said, if you build a tower with all retail parts, each one of those parts will have a separate warranty that is usually 3 years. RAM is life warranty (Kingston at least), Thermaltake power supplies have a 5 years (at least some of them) while other brands have usually a 3 year warranty. Hard drives often have a 3 year warranty, motherboards too (usually). Be careful about "boutiques" selling you a computer and giving you a 1 year warranty on the whole thing when about all parts in it have a longer warranty. So, if your hard drive or power supply dies for example 1 year and 3 months after purchase, places like that will tell you that it's no longer under warranty and if the customer lets them do the job, they usually return the defective part to make money on the back of the customer. NEVER accept one single warranty for the whole computer when you buy a tower. Ask what the warranties on each parts are. If they can't answer, don't buy or be prepared to have to deal with the manufacturer directly..

The boutique guys are honestly what I would call "PC Guys" - meaning these are technicians/builders who were tasked with doing sales against their will. Best Buy tried this with their "Geek Squad" guys going out to the sales floor and selling systems. Personally, I did not mind doing this because I had a strong background in sales prior to working at Geek Squad, the rest of my crew hated this entire experience and would usually pass their customers to me if I was free. So many good techs would stumble over breaking this stuff down into laymen terms that they would end up getting it wrong in the end, and the consumer suffers as a result. On the other side of the coin: Sales reps are after the sale only, so they only think about pushing a system that meets the check-marks the customer may need but mostly focusing in on the end result which is their commission or their sales goals. I'd say this video had a very even 50/50 split, and then finally the last guy seemed to be like myself: Someone who is both a builder/enthusiast and a sales guy who's more interested in giving the customer a more comfortable experience and the best deal (Sales reps don't care about the cost of the machine, just the sale and add-ons), and hoping that translates to a better report and repeat business.

You are Kind of Right. Depending on the Company strategy. The "old School" one is just selling once for hight Profit, so like the first ones, on the Basis that you will probably never see the customer again. But what maingear did was the more "modern" Approach, which relies on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. So that they buy again, and again, be it because of the support or the Quality. In conclusion: If Maingear tries to keep its customers and sell them stuff more often, he is a good salesman. If not, he missed the sale strategy of his Company.

The reason it's so bad is because they follow an issue with the help of a flowchart. Issue not in the flowchart? No chance, straight up. Plus they are probably being paid next to nothing, so why care. The fact that they speak the "hi why are you" dialect of English doesn't make things more peachy either.

Thing is... most people do not order by phone anymore at all. That was a thing 15+ years ago. However most of what she experienced was inexcusable. I've bought from cyberpower and I was more than pleased with their customer service, but I also ordered online, knew what I was looking for spec wise and communicated via email with someone who responded quickly and was very very helpful.
@Bogeyatyour6YT
@Bogeyatyour6YT Жыл бұрын
Regular folk (I'd guess 20-60% of the customers, depending on age and region) will still order a lot of things over the phone. Despite Online forms etc, it is still usually a hazzle or if they want a real person to help them decide/consult with them, they will always pick up the phone. So it is not that unrealistic. And companies, despite knowing this, are outsourcing all of their telephone operations to whatever 3rd party offers the cheapest package. That is despite the people who call through the phone are usually the ones with the most money to spend or more willing to make a compromise or get extra options if they feel well advised by the rep. There is a good chance they will buy something extra, but that doesn't work when pushing it down their throats like we often saw with dell (in general with the LTT Secret Shopper series). The rep needs to make an analysis of the customer needs and possible future requirements, ask the correct questions and seal the deal. A good deal is where the customer is happy, doesn't feel ripped off and gets the best possible product for a reasonable price/conditions. If the rep feels equally satisfied, he did a good job and isn't being pressured by the company to adhere to stupid timelines and upsales that in the end are just pushing more and more people away to online shopping, where they are not unlikely to be scammed as well but will often get 0 to little advice on what to buy and why. This is not restricted to computers but to all products and services in general. The same idiots (I mean the management level and above) who push those unreasonable expectations unto their 1st line staff would more likely also call over the phone to assemble a prebuilt rather than taking the time to do it online (exceptions exist). So while they would be likely to understand the issue the best, they have never called their own company as a customer and stay blind to it (or WANT to stay ignorant).

Dell uses the secret 5th law of thermodynamics to achieve these clock speeds to get that 10x boost, these secret techniques were discovered several years ago which is why they bought all their stock back and went private. They're currently working with secret government agencies to use this technology to develop new alternative hyper-efficient thermal block cooling technology & near 100% efficient conversion of thermal waste into cheap alternative thermal power which might some day be using for military applica--- How do you do fellow citizens ignore the ramblings of that silly conspiracy theorist above.
