@@kuklama0706 no, the PS3, PS4 and PS5 use a version of FreeBSD because it's licensed under the 3 clause BSD (cuck) license, same reason why MacOS was forked from 386BSD, alongside FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD. In fact the PS3 uses FreeBSD style pkg packages for software installation for hacked consoles. You can install Linux on one with OtherOS++

@@lawrencedoliveiro9104 But that's a good thing. I'm a Windows user. I use WSL2 and its addition is honestly a huge benefit to me. I recently began programming in bioinformatics, and if I had not been able to access a terminal like Bash via WSL2 on my Windows laptop, it would have been a huge setback. And because of WSL2, I've been learning a huge amount about Linux, playing around with it, even got an Alpine distro on my phone now for fun (tho i doubt anything useful will come out of my phone terminal). This is a plus for Windows, not exactly a moment to go "haha windows realized GUIs suck'.

maybe I am not abusing Manjaro enough, but I have a nice experience with it for 1 year now :) I like it how much more faster than any more popular distros out there, and I was able to set specific software environment without an issue, what I couldn't do on Windows. Of course, Porteus is still one of my favourite, because it is really like a swiss army knife on speed :D

I loved Manjaro when I daily drove it for a few months but things did keep breaking... I blame mostly Nvidia for most of the breaking, and some was self inflicted but it got tiring. I went back to Fedora and I'll probably be staying here for my main computer. At least for a while

Tried Manjaro after using fedora for a good while. Found it kind of unstable, rough around the edges and slower than default fedora with gnome. The idle fan test didn't quite yield favourable results either. Under fedora in particular, but a few other distros too, after sitting idle for a while the fans in my laptop just switch off. That's because it's really truly doing nothing. Ubuntu does what windows does in that situation, idle temps never really go down that low. Manjaro seemed to do the same for some reason...

@@233kosta I dont have too much experience with that branch, usually tried debian based ones, and some odd ones, with different guis etc. I really liked the 8.14 or so Ubuntu, it was fast and nice, but after it feels like it became a bloatware, slow and sluggish, despite your are not doing anything with it. I have a really old laptop, so this kind of thing coming out really fast, but the mentioned ones runs great on older/slower laptops as well. On my desktop I love to just poke around with them in VM, so loading times again significantly differs, but Porteus is like a meth addict :D
