THE LION NEVER BEAT ANYONE?!?!?! He stomped Kurze multiple times in multiple books. Sanguineous, in the book 'the unremembered empire', when hunting for kurze, found him in Sang's own throne room. Sang let Kurze go because by reading the future he found it just as likely for Kurze to him him as the other way around. Kurze disemboweled Dorn in a fit of mistaken rage. Rus has said he doesn't know that he could defeat Kurze or Sang in a 1v1. Multiple Primarchs RAN from kurze, including Corax. And the Lion beat him 3 times. There are multiple passages in the book where guilliman says the lion is the only brother he looked up to/ felt intimidated by. He also said Horus was jealous of the Lion and when he was granted the title of warmaster, it was over the lion that he felt the most pride. The lion beat rus in a brawl. He met with peterobo (after the iron warriors were traders but before the lion knew) with just a small contingent, but peterobo didn't dare try to take him on. This video is FILLED with inaccuracies. Because the vast majority of people just repeat inaccurate info the got from a glance at the wiki, there's more bad information then good with videos like these. Don't trust claims anyone tells you without citing chapter and book(s) for where they're pulling their info from.

I mean, he beat Angron as an old man. 1v1. Yeah, he had the shield, but Angron had his demon weapons and spinegrinder too. Lion didn’t even have the Lion Sword. He’s a top 2-3 fighter of the primarchs. Sanguinius is probably #1.

i dont think this was meant as a lore video, more like a diss ... i laughed a lot listening to this, and yeah there are a few inaccuracies but a lot of this is spot on, especially about the Lions character ... he is a mopey asocial ahole after all ... as to not beating anyone .... he beat Curze, beat Angron (lets be real everyone beats angron), and stabbed fateweaver and thats it(if you know of any other big shots he beat let me know, cant think of any other) ... as to Russ .... the lion didnt "defeat" Russ, they faced each other battered, russ sitting and the lion swaying and Russ started laughing his balls off because he realized how absurd the whole situation was, and the lion asked him if he would yield which made Russ laugh even harder, and he kept laughing till the Lion knocked him out not even attempting to block the hit ... so yeah there goes your "defeat" .... the last thing that actually happened in the fight was Russ almost smashing the lions helm clean off, and he could see the opportunity to press his advantage and beat him down but in the end he just laughed.... so yeah im not counting that i would really like to know what primarch feared and ran from Curze? cant think of any tbh, also Curze faced both Guilliman and the Lion at the same time and would have killed them with his trap if the were not teleported away ... also as far as i know, the lion beat Curze in a full out fight only once(when he broke his back) also if you are referring to the dropsite massacre, Corax dueled Lorgar and almost killed him until Curze intervened turing it into a 1v2 against Corax, forcing him to retreat, because, firstly, he just had a full on primarch fight so he would have been exhausted, and second its a 2v1 ... thats not running away, thats not being a idiot ... final also ... as far as i know Sanguinius didnt attack Curze because he was pleading with him that its not to late to redeem himself, Sanguinius was also considered the best fighter of the primarchs and i very much doubt that Curze could take him. and lastly, i think Horus would have wiped the ground with the Lion honestly, especially chaos Horus, i mean he killed Sanguinius and almost killed the Emperor himself. in the future, if you want to go and correct anyone, your argument might be stronger if you didnt misspell the names of primarchs, makes it look doubtful that you have read the books, Russ is with two "s" , its not Sanguineous but Sanguinius, its not robo Pete/Peterobo but its Perturabo, its not Kurze but Curze

Funny how you said how Lion didn't beat anyone. He beat Kurze 3 times despite knowing future and knows how enemy moves, but no. Matter how he do, he can't read Lion. I think the Lion is behaving so uncharacteristically empathically and forgivingly because that cast away shard of the Emperors soul - the part that holds his hope, his empathy, and his altruism - is LITTERALY a part of the Lions soul itself. Most noble? Lion el'Jonson was the single greatest exterminator in the entire 40k setting. He's killed more humans than any other person, or any other faction, in the 40k universe other than maybe the Nids and Chaos as a whole. He's got an entire section of his legion specifically dedicated to committing war crimes that make the Death Guard and Night Lords look cute. Yes in 40k he's gotten quite a personality makeover, which he desperately needed, and the illusion of Curze lampshading what an absolute bastard the Lion was was some desperately needed author awareness. However, the Lion's got a long, loooong way to go before he could, on the whole, be considered noble. Dorn, Guilliman, Vulkan, Magnus (pre daemon), Corax, Horus (pre Chaos), Sanguinius, Fulgrim (pre daemon) and the Khan all beat him in nobility by a country mile.

I think it comes from the purpose he was made for, and his Legion. The Lion was his first go, and I think from context it implies something about his nature. What did the Emperor NEED MOST from this project? He needed a general, and later an army that would annihilate the horrors of the galaxy. He needed to be able to trust them with Dark Age tech to do the job, to do the ugliest work when necessary, and to keep their mouths shut about both. They exemplify the cold pragmatism of the Primarch/Astartes programs.

Yeah I've read the heresy series back-to-back and straight through. Just finished the siege series as well. I don't know anything about the games, etc. Only what the books say. You know it's really interesting that there is such a wide range of opinions on the Lion on this and other comments from other channels. The characters in the book as well as his brothers are exactly the same as the peanut gallery. Opinions range widely about him in the book and nobody trusts him. Everybody thinks he's weird because he barely speaks and he doesn't share secrets. He just doesn't talk unless asked something & good luck getting a response too. Half the time he just looks at the other person....lol. Little awkward I would imagine Here's the scoop on the Lion..... He's one of my favorite primarchs and would have been warmaster due to his leadership in strategic skills. Apparently he's a very impressive person..... Strategic genius. He and Perturabo were friends and respected eachother after working on a war against....i cant remember but a formidable opponent before the Heresy was known about. The lion made Perturabo The siege cannon that was super powerful and blew up stuff that couldnt blow up (something like that). 😊 The extinction program he was doing involved animals that were from the warp. They were pure evil....caliban has a portal directly to the warp an entities can get through it. That's why the lion blows up his planet later on in the series.
