@@cherie4868 Hell no I’ve seen plenty of exiled Male lions Hunt huge prey that would take at least 3 females to take down. The king has a very difficult life because when he comes of age he needs to leave the pride and survive for himself until he can challenge an Alpha male for the pride. The female most of the time only needs to play smart and rely on the king for protection from other males that want to take over. Plus every time the female is struggling with a big prey she calls the king because of his unnatural strength. Don’t get me wrong I love the female lions but to say that they are the superior hunter it’s just a lie and we also have to consider that they get to live longer because the male must always protect the pride from invaders because if not they will quickly kill all the Cubs so that only their bloodline carry’s on.

Yes, to teach them. Mom will catch the prey, bring it to the young one. They try to make them deliver the suffocation hold.

Lion kills are hard to watch as you say but it is encouraging to see that one lion will hold on to the throat effectively suffocating the animal before eating. What I find particularly difficult to watch is an animal being eaten alive. Yes violent, bloody and brutal but necessary and natural. Thank you MalaMala.

1:00 As hard as it is to watch this poor animal fight in vain for his life, another part of me is happy that these youngsters are getting such invaluable experience in dealing with live prey and learning how to be lions. Don't get me wrong; i'm very glad you upload these videos! but it can be such an emotional dilemma :/ it is nature though and this is just how the natural world works. I just hope that adrenaline and shock results in these poor animals feeling minimal pain.

The consensus that"Male lions don't hunt " is out right false Male lions can and do hunt especially nomadic males and pride males that are away from the pride however when the pride males are with their pride they choose not to hunt to conserve energy for patrolling their territory or incase of invading male lions. Unless the pride is hunting a large prey animal than pride males will get involved.
