I love this train. I have the NY Central Battery Operated set and it hasn’t been out of the box yet. I really want to have a collection of the Lionel and other brands battery operated sets. Thats an old ready to run set from the early to mid 2000's back when lionel still had their rights to make G-scale products. Thats right, this set is G-SCALE COMPATIBLE!

Essentially it's the same mold for the Loco and the tender. But it had a boxcar and a caboose instead of the passenger and the observation car

The model that Lionel manufactures is the pere marquette 1225 but they make it with different styles such as the polar express is the pere marquette watch a video top 5 largest steam locomotives in the world
