I have watched all the games this season. Before Messi came on board with Inter Miami, they were in last place, hadn't won a match in over a month, and had an almost non-existent fan base. Slowly, they have improved with the addition and removal of many players to the team. However, the opposing teams have repeatedly looked better; they move the ball better, defend better, and sub better. The difference for Inter Miami is that they have two players that can score, Messi and, in his absence, Suarez. It is not the victory or the loss that matters, but how you played during a win or defeat. Inter Miami's gameplay outside of Messi has been difficult to watch. If Messi stays hot, they will most likely win the MLS Cup. Will this mean they are a true championship team? The answer is probably not.
