Imagine how many goals he would have to his name: 1. If he had dived and converted the ensuing penalties. 2. If he had taken all those penalties instead of sharing them with his team mates. And this pattern of sportsmanship from LM goes all the way back to 2009 when he truly became the No.1 in the team. 3. He would have more hattricks to his name if he did not share those penalties while he was on a hat-trick. What I feel is that LM is so good and so confident that he does not need to "cheat" to get scoring opportunities. As a great dribbler of the ball, he could have easily gotten many penalty calls in his favour if he went down with every contact in the D. But as the short video reveals, he is arguably the cleanest attacking player ever, if not, at least in the last 20 - 25 years. Goat for a reason!

Then there are scoring and defending. Things like heading and tackling are part of other basics like passing, shooting and defending. He isn't that great at defending but who cares, he is an attacking midfielder or striker. And lastly his pace has went down after his injury in 2016. But he makes up with his positioning. What I wanna say is that, if we look at the basics of football like passing, dribbling and shooting/scoring. Nobody in history is nowhere near messi.
