Cool! If you want to keep some of the cars from being so loose and wobble, add a C or E clip inside under the truck rivet. If the cars do have plastic wheels then they cane be used on 2 rail O gauge trains as well. The early Atlas O gauge scale was designed for two rail, and their coupler will mate with Lionel type coupler, but also still they had the large flange on their wheels, but could run on normal tubular track or the solid rail track. Gargraves works well for both...

I have both of those sets. I put an led in the redwood valley engine, but I'm not sure how to go about it with the James gang engine. It looks to have most of the stuff to put a factory bulb in it, but I'm not sure what's missing.

I installed a LED light with a pigtail and have it connected to the rectifier diode converting the AC track power to DC.. They are both cool locomotives. Thank you. _Steve

Good question, these are forward only. I have put a DPDT switch on one of my Lionel Laser engines so I could run one forward and one backwards together..

The source for the speaker was my MTH General type steamer. I have it recorded under voice memos on an old phone. Some have used online train sounds. Thank you for your feedback.
