Seeing the prismatic effect in the paint on that locomotive was amazing! The one item I would definitely have to silence is the repetitious announcement, it didn’t take long for that to get on my nerves. That was my only complaint, I likes the Christmas themed freight cars, those were a nice touch. .

That is the one to get. I wonder how the finish will hold up. I can see Lionel making some Plasma Blue Coaches in the future. They should have made the red one a plasma color as well.

I SAW THE RED ONE AT TRAINLAND AND IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THOSE PICTUERS. IT LOOKS PRETTY NICE TO ME. THE PLASMA IS HOT ALSO, BUT NOT MY FAVORITE COLOR. IT REMINDS ME OF IMPORT CAR SHOWS. 🙂

Very nice, Steve! That color is just plain superb. The red one just looks like a dullcoat version of a Pacemaker engine. That is one cool Christmas train, too. An excellent video, as always.

Nice engine, smart move not getting the red and switching to the blue. I agree BTW Lionel needs to fix that Base3 dialog, some buttons do nothing some play different dialog some play the same one, I can't figure it out but they need to fix it

I see what you mean, Steve-too much red. I ordered the legacy set and five add-on cars. I wish that they had different versions of the main set. So you have a choice of which engine you'd get with the set
