I keep coming back to this -- it is one of my favorite layouts, and a big inspiration for me to add a hint of switching to my own layouts. You have excellent taste in O-scale! (not to mention the arcade too 😁)

Thanks ! Im glad you like it. I must say that was probably my favorite layout. Switching is fun . I havent put up a layout in a couple years . I do miss it but its a ton of work as you know. perhaps next year. The arcade stuff is fun too. There is no shortage of hobbies. Just not enough time. Thanks again , Rich

I commented a year ago, but enjoyed seeing the layout again. Model railroads need industrial sidings and businesses to serve so you can do switching operations. Otherwise it's just a train going around in a never ending circle. I enjoy this kind of operating much more. It shows how much can be done with old Lionel.

Wonderfully planned layout that incorporates pickups and setouts, just like a real railroad. The accessories and vehicles are really nice. Its easy to understand why you have so much fun operating this layout. Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I enjoy doing the switching operations and shuffling the cars around but I realize it is not something that most people like to watch. So I am glad you enjoyed it.

@@yeksun Some guys have point to point railroads with lots of switching. It makes operating enjoyable and interesting as opposed to simply watching a train go around in circles.

Wow... you’ve got all the classic pieces! I love how you don’t clean up the mess from the coal loader... a nice touch of realism.

There isn't one thing about this layout I don't like. Obviously old Lionel stuff is indestructible. This railroad must give you countless hours of operating pleasure. I love switching operations. The old tinplate track is nice to see again, too. I presume some of your locomotives are newer MTH stuff with modern sound systems. I like all the Plasticville, too. Great video. I stayed wide awake all through it! :-) Thanks for posting.

The NW2 and the A5 are both newer Lionel Chief Plus. I like them they have lots of good features for a good price. This was last years layout. and it was really fun. This year I had very little time and did no planning. So this years is nowhere near as fun to operate. It just goes round and round. I will post a video in a few weeks. I think it still turned out nice though

@@yeksun So you've dismantled this layout and built another one? I thought it was a permanent fixture, or hoped it was. Anyway, I really enjoyed it. I'll subscribe to your channel for updates. Thanks for the reply.

You always create great looking Lionel layouts. I like your use of bridges near or on table edges so sometimes they are 'real' bridges. Some of your factory/industrial buildings - are they Korber kits? That is also a nice looking MTH switch tower. Is it easy to remove the roof on the switch tower to add a railroad employee at the controls in the tower? You do create great model railroad layouts.
@yeksun4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice comment. Im sorry I dont know if the buildings are Korber kits. I do know that they are kits of some sort. I bought these from a friend and they were already assembled. The mth tower was easy to remove the roof to ad the guy inside. I always try to make my layout "make sense" So i try to have bridges go over things, Roads that go places and connect with other places, and so on. Im glad you noticed this and can appreciate it.
