@@yeksun thanks for replying, I know it’s been a couple years since the video. You had upgraded the carb before you did the big bore kit. You said it was a good upgrade. So it made the bike faster? @@gabrielmarin6671 I would say if I could only do one mod it would be the carb. I put one on a friends stock bike and it made a nice improvement. Is it as reliable as a honda or kawasaki? No way but is it a basket case ? not at all. You will need to be able to fix little things . Mostly things rattling and falling off . In stock form I would imagine its more reliable but since Ive changed some things you never know whats going to happen . The swingarm is a known problem. No big deal. I still jump on it and ride 80 miles no problem. If you like the style Id say buy it.

The Ice Bear Champion order form offers a digital speedo and an aluminum swing arm for $99; recommend? Prior to this issue, had you noticed any lateral play at the swing arm? I ask because I watched another enthusiast catch some play back there and two accommodating washers resolved the issue on the Amigo (for much more money).

Your video is appreciated! Your rear shocks caught my eye; the oe Little Bear shocks rattle from the start, other Honda ct70 clone owners have remarked. Where did you purchase the rear shocks? Will the VM26 carb work on the 125cc motor?

@@yeksun Thanks! I have looked at the order form on the Ice Bear Champion and for $99 they offer an aluminum swingarm and digital speedo. Did you mention a shortage of success finding aluminum swingarm replacement, or they were out-of-stock when you bought your Little Bear? Carb - I believe you though I'm hearing 'Nibbi' is popular. Thanks for the comment. Mine is still holding up as of June 2024. Im glad to hear you did the fix. I would do it to your new one as well . Overall I think Tron is pretty easy on the joy stick EXCEPT for the light cycle board. That is the true test of these sticks. Good luck.

@@yeksun yup!! The Light Cycle board got me. I used the clear weld so I may do a stress test on my original controller to see if it will break entirely. You know, just heavy handed play. Nothing too crazy. I’ll post back if it breaks. I doubt it will. I also have a new micro switch coming. I hold #1 on DOT and the hand is tired after a long bout with Sark. An upgrade on the switch should help. I also took an xacto blade to the trigger seam and edges, making it baby smooth. I did notice wear on the trigger to switch contact area. I may need to mod that area to build it back up to keep the throw as short as possible. Thanks for the reply.

Update: your video set me on another level of gameplay. So for that, I have to thank you first and foremost. Props to you, Sir! Arcade1up sent me a complete controller assembly, base and all. Have I used it? NO! Because your tutorial is genius! I not only replaced the trigger switch. I replaced all switches in the base too. It plays like a dream now. So much so, I posted 999,900 on Discs of Tron, securing that top score. No more hand cramps during long plays. All thanks to you! I’ve strong armed the controller several times during play and the existing crack has not budged. This fix is legit. Happy gaming!

Yeah it doesn't have no bearings the stock has in thrush washers on the side with rubber. The one that I replaced it with has roller bearings and comes with two washers that you put on each end of the swingarm to run the pivot bolt through. The torque distortion stocks swing arms. Yeah I recommend you replace that out ASAP. What's an aluminum one.

I'm not a master plumber or anything but I do have some experience and I think there's a number of things going on. Most of the wall thinning issues I've seen in cast drain pipes are usually at sweep elbows where you're going from a stack coming from above, to a horizontal run for some distance, to another stack going vertically down ( Think of the captial letter L and then drop another line down from the right side of the horizontal line at the bottom). Those usually manifest as holes rather than cracks. The long cracks like you have in the video I've generally seen on vertical stack runs. The working theory I have with this is due to the sheer weight of the iron itself as the house settles over the years/decades it introduces a sort of bending moment in the whole pipe. I mean, plumbers aren't perfect, you're not going to strap everything perfectly and where you place your supports and really lock it in will move with the structure itself as the years go on. This introduces ever so slight bending and torquing moments to the whole stack. Then, as the years go on, you get anode action on interior and exterior surfaces where the metal is bare due to some flaw in the coatings. This causes oxidation from those start points and the hydrogen sulfide from bacterial off gassing in the waste stream just makes it worse. Finally at some point this is going to hit a critical level and there will be some sort of shock to the system. A massive rainstorm or everyone flushing the toilet at close to the same line and then it just lets go along the crystal structure of the iron. Since its not a forged product, this allows any crack to start and then travel along that structure, helped along with the bending or torquing moment I mentioned before. Then you smell the poopy water and we gotta cut it all out for you. Seems to make sense to me.
