Doesn’t always work out for Spencer at times, he just falls lucky. Many occasions where’s it’s backfired..just needs the right horse to pull it out of the fire also

Spencer gets too much credit. Any jockey worth their salt can ride a horse from behind. The great jockeys can make the pace and win the race from the front. This is the most difficult ride for a jockey. You must posses a clock and set the fractions. Timing is everything.

This comment makes a bias one sided view of jockeyship.....IMO a great jockey will place, ride and finish a horse in a race to its advantages....if the horse likes to be held, ridden from the front etc thats what you must do as a jockey. Frankie was so poor in the last furlong and if you watch both jockeys its not even close.
